Exactly. They only nerfed body shots and left headshots alone, so the top tier players are still going to wreck. The noob spraying and praying won't kill anything.

Freaking Dice. They finally release a game that is fairly stable and got a quick patch and everything was great until they broke it.

It's because people can be more careless with their lives as they can live longer.

To fix that, we will be adding a “Core” version of all playlists in the game next week, giving you a clearer choice between new and old settings. We’ll update you early next week on when the new playlist will be added.

We want to hear from you about the changes we’re making. We’d also like to thank all of you for the constructive discussions and feedback we’re seeing. Thank you.

FYI the Conquest Core mode actually has the new TTK. Lolz.

It is easier overall because it makes positioning less important. You get longer to react. You are less likely to die from being flanked. Etc.

There's a video circulating of someone getting "one-shotted" by a Sten. People don't understand the difference between lag and ttk. That's all lag. Even with a buff the medic guns aren't that good.

I haven't tried it yet but will at least give it a shot. Honestly, Best Buy has COD on sale for $30 and I might run and go get that. I'm really disappointed in Dice. This is Battlefield, not some entry level FPS game.

We all died a lot, but then we learned and adjusted and got better.

It really is a great BF game, which is why people are so upset over Dice messing with it. With all the drama surrounding the game, it still is fun.

Hopefully they come to their senses and put things back. I still think it is worth getting on a holiday sale. It is way better than BF1.

The class balance is really good for a change (except the weak medic guns). The WW2 setting has a nice, natural balance to it as well.

The genre is marching on. One or two of these old genre stalwarts was inevitably going to fall as progress happens. As I predicted, BFV took the biggest blow. Hopefully this means they take the necessary time to reevaluate what players actually want and show up next gen with a refresh of the series.

Note: As of right now, more people are playing Fallout 76 on XBox than BFV. Dice has to do something different next time or the series is in peril.
 
I played the new TTK settings... ok they are not good. They aren't that bad. I'd push for Dice to put them back in a heartbeat though. It makes shooting people at range tough. People just sprint between cover and heal. It plays more like BF1 but not as severe. People shouldn't have +20 health in their pockets with these slow TTK settings for sure.
 
after a few games on both, TTK was much better before, i like being able to kill without emptying my clip

also SMG are even more useless in the new TTK

also their idea of having a Core version of each mode is the stupidest thing i have ever heard, just pick a version... and if they think this TTK is gonna keep casuals around they are kidding themselves lol

It’s still on sale for $30 digitally till the 20th through BF1. I still might as well pick it up.

It isn't lag either, though. The problem is bigger than that. It is a packet issue.

Don't...it isn't worth it. If they have made these changes after the vast majority of the community said no, then it is just a matter of time before they make the game even worse.
 
Forgot I had the 10 hr trial through EA Access. Just downloaded going to play it this week and see what I think. Are the Core modes the old TTK (that you guys liked) or the new TTK changes?

The new settings aren't terrible (especially if you have no reference of what changed). Most prefer the old settings with the faster TTK.

The new settings aren't as bad as people are making it out to be (I agree the old was better though). You just need to switch to your pistol a lot more to finish people off. It is annoying though when you put 3 rifle shots in someone's chest and they just keep running at you. Basically though it adds another shot/burst to kill for body shots.

Either way, just get used to dying a lot more. Staying with your squad is mandatory. If you get in some bad squad of randoms who spawn on different points - quit the squad and find another. Go alone and you'll die.

If you played a lot of BF1 you have to unlearn a lot of bad habits.
