I am an Xbox fan yes, but I try not to put people down for their decisions, nor do I need to partake or believe in the silly console wars that result from fanboy BS. I prefer one brand but don't hate the others, or those that play on the other systems, and I certainly don't think that my brand should crush and dominate and rule the industry. It is quite possible to be a fan of a system and having discussions with other fans of other systems without it devolving into stupidity. And while I have partaked in the bs sometimes it doesn't mean I like it, or think it it's good or healthy discussion.

It used to be back @ E3 when running on those PC's but Cevat Yerli said they lowered the poly's from 150,000 to 85,000, lowered the resolution from 1920x1080 to 1600x900 and added some extra effects.
According to Yerli, this made the game look better, I may not be upon the most favorable opinion but it seems to have taken a visual downgrade since E3 (check how mad Ryse looked back then).
...but that is not directly related to this topic, even if it's another game taken a res hit.

I know they lowered the poly's, but I thought I had read that the game was always 900p, even at E3, could be wrong though and can't be bothered to search for articles right now lol

Surveys of PS4's popularity say otherwise. A lot of people care. You seguey from "no one really cares" (a completely false statement backed by no evidence) to the 1 out of 3 people who don't know or care and are buying an XB1 anyway.
There are several surveys that you can look up, mostly of the general public, and they're all in favor of PS4 2 out of 3. Online auction charts are a good indicator of demand, your ignorance of them doesn't make them useless evidence. The fact that it's on Ars Technica should tell you they don't throw around worthless statistics. Sorry.

Yes, because we've gone from DF "balance" bunk to "once devs sort out the ESRAM and tools, it'll be as close as PS3/360" despite the relatively large hardware gap between PS4 and XB1. And "nobody cares about specs but fanboys, all the evidence pointing to PS4's popularity is useless" Now we'll have to wait for that to be debunked as well.
Once that's all proven wrong and XB1 likely sells 1 to 3 to PS4, it will just be bitter "they're ignorant and don't understand how great it is and fear change and it's all Sony's fault for FUDing", just like the claims about Windows phones, tablets, and Windows 8 selling terribly. It will never end. Go on neowin.net to see what really bitter MS fans are like. They spend most of their time insulting anyone who doesn't want MS consumer products, which happens to be quite a lot of people given how poorly they're selling these days.
Maybe MS will release a kinect-less version for $300-400. They should be doing that right now, honestly.

I don't see any problem with animations, in SP anyways. I think the fighting looks fun as hell and I can't wait to murder people. Multiplayer looks like hot dog sh*t though.
This isn't about popularity of either system, not quite sure why you are turning it into that, nor am I ranting about the popularity of the X1. I like what I like, other people like what they like, it doesn't affect me and my choice shouldn't affect them, what I am ranting about isn't the popularity of either systems, its the console wars attitude of the fanboys who feel the need to constantly try to put down the other side with trivial bulls***, the schoolyard rubbing in other peoples faces about the slightest difference between one or the other. The whole attitude of the console wars and that one side must 'win' leads to a want of monopolization. Ms fanboys want sony to fail, sony fanboys wants ms to fail, the end result is a monopoly by one corporation, there is not strawmen there, it's what would result if fanboys got their way with the console wars. And caring fanboys? really..you find the attitude of fanboys to be caring? I find the attitude to care less about the success of their choice and more about the failure about the competition, it is not a good attitude to foster for a hobby that we supposedly care about. You posted those survey's, and sure the PS4 is more popular than the X1..whoopdef***ingdo.. as I said earlier the only ones that care about who is more popular are fanboys. You posted those links trying to counter my claim that no one outside of fanboys care about this BS, do you believe that people are only buying the PS4 because of better specs? If the majority of gamers only cared about the best possible version of the games we play then we all would be playing on PC, yet here we are, bickering about two crappy versions.

According to all the internet polls, PS4 is suppose to outsell X1 3 or 4 to 1. And PS4 has advantage of launching in 10-15 more countries too. Should be a slam dunk.

I think those estimates are way off. I'd estimate that, after a year, Sony will have maybe a 10 to 20% lead at most. Microsoft is a huge corporation with tons of advertising money at its disposal, and the X1 has a lot going for it. There is no way this is going to a blowout the way the fanboys are predicting.
These 3 to 1 predictions are going to come back to haunt them. They are going to make a moderate success look like failure (it will not sell nearly as well as it "should have" sold).

We saw how well public polls worked out for Romney and the presidential election.....
I still am sticking to my 2-1 after a whole years worth of sales ie when the the end of 2014 results come in Jan 2015.
I would've thought that, prior to all the reversals. But after all the 180s, and with a healthy launch lineup plus the Kinect/TV stuff (which probably has more mass appeal than we're giving it credit for), they will sell about the same, with a 10 to 20% edge for Sony because of the lower price and good buzz (assuming no blue lights of death). At least that's what my little Pachter doll tells me.
With Sony launching in significantly more territories, they could possibly outsell Xbox 3:1. All depends on how quickly MS rolls out other regions. In NA, I expect it to be much closer.

Many are not taking into account that the pixels wont matter in the big picture. What the consoles actually are is pretty much set in stone now. The Ps4 is primarily a powerful gaming rig with added multi media features, the XO is a multi media entertainment box and a powerful gaming rig. Both are more than graphics savvy, however, one offers a bit more than the other. Sure power is good and all, but if you can meet consumer entertainment expectations as a service on tap, readily accessible with apps that you can control with your voice and still have a powerful gaming rig included, you stand more chance to reach a much broader real estate in profit potential. It will be interesting to see how things look six months from now.
Well, technically Romney was only winning in two polls (Gallup and Rasmussen) before the election, Obama was winning on the rest.
I remember someone asking me right before the election, "who do you think is going to win". And I, as hopeful as I was, shook my head and said, "not Romney".
I expect PS4 to outsell Xbox One, just not by 3 to 1 margins.
Ryse is the only X1 game that looks better than it did at E3 imo.
Forza 5 and Dead Rising 3 really have me worried with some of the new media coming out for those games.

i thought dead rising looked like poop at e3, with every new showing it has looked more fun and ran better.
Well there was that one scene where you fight some boss that's like an old Chinese guy. It looked really bad. Like shockingly bad.
DR3 does look more fun than what was shown at E3 though.
sell reports shouldn't mean anything until at least 6months. The PS4 could be selling more just because Sony produced more systems.
I thought so to, the E3 footage of a few games pretty much put them on my uninterested list (Ryse, DR3), but since then they seem to have really improved, not sure I will get them though as my budget is pretty tight this year, but I will definitely keep an eye on them now.
