Some real positive things that I picked up from all the information released today that I like a lot....

they will have in game lfg.

There will be an area you go to form raid/strike groups.

No more orbit, any activity can be launched from in game menu.

Public events will be "much larger" and have heroic objectives.

You have 4 weapon slots now. You can carry 2 primaries if you want, not limited to primary/secondary/heavy.

3 of the four will have burn, one must be kinetic.

3 abilities, grenade, melee, and class special.

Titan has mini shield, warlock mini bubble that heals etc.

Golden gun has 6 shots. Heh

They have explore world's area where you eventually fight a boss for chest loot

So PC port is being handled by Vicarious Visions, so I was looking around for some social media points of contacts (they aren't on twitter for some reason), anyways, came across this video:

Semi-related to the thread, I know, but pretty damned funny.

If some of my friends on Live get this at launch I'll probably get it too. I tried Destiny TTK on 360 when it was on sale and had a lot of fun with it. From what I read it was not that great when Destiny first launched. Glad I waited.

I played the first level of the campaign on PS4 Pro and played Crucible on PC. Both were fun, but they're not huge departures from Destiny 1...I was hoping for different enemies or something more. I'll sleep on it and will post more thoughts and pics later.

Are you really saying that me and you haven't discussed "console parity" on this forum before? I don't even.... I've given plenty of argument, clearly you haven't read any of them or bothered to do anything but gloss over.
..

The vast majority of my games are on Steam but that is simply because Steam has a stranglehold on PC gaming (a monopoly if you will) and no matter where you buy a game, even if it's external, you have 99% chance that the game key you're buying is going to be a Steam Key. If a key is available on another client and it's cheaper... why would I buy it on Steam? Uplay, GOG, and Origin all download games just the same.

"Games for Windows Live"? No. You're clearly making up s***. The only GFWL title I have ever owned was Bioshock 2 and it was purchased via Steam and I had no clue it was GFWL until after I installed it.

edit: basically, I like Steam as much as the next person. But now that all of the other clients have the same basic feature set and do it well; I'm willing to let the sale dictate where my money goes. Five years ago, yeah, clearly only on Steam. It's a much different landscape these days and I'm all in for price/benefit to me.

You gets nowhere with the parity talk with me.
It doesn't take a tech expert to see and know that its very real and will even hold back a certain upcoming console.
Just like MS has a stranglehold on the PC's OS.
Steam>the others this is no debate.
I was referring to Win 10 store which is a PITA and cumbersome compared to Steam.

I bet it doesn't outsell Wildlands. At any rate based on the trailer, if you liked the first Destiny I would expect Destiny 2 to be right up that alley.
.
That's funny...
Destiny 2 will easily outsell GRW.
If I were to take a guess... Id say it will definitely be in the top 5 selling games of 2017 with a strong chance of being in the top 3.

In no Order....

Star Wars BF2
COD WW2
Destiny 2

Rockstar cries(or delays RDR2 out of fear)

I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Blizzard was actually reluctant to the idea and maybe some oversight stepped in and pushed to make it happen. That whole "let's rename it to Blizzard App NOW!!!" thing was always kind of weird. It's even a bit goofy as far as names go and with Activision coming out on stage today, calling it Battle.net and all that, it just seems like maybe there is more to it.

Typically the two companies stay out of each others lives on things like this, almost zero cross-over.

My gut feeling is that Bungie probably wanted to take Bungie.net to the next level, from website to client/launcher and that idea got shot down by Activision. The next option was Steam, but that is a direct 30% cut from every single copy sold, plus they have to pay for advertising and face time to keep their title from being buried by the mountain of indies. I feel like the move to battlenet was out of necessity, because getting their own client going would be too much of a task to handle this late into development and after all; they are sorta part of the same company, but it is weird that this will be the only title on Blizzard App that isn't running on Blizzards servers.

Even the statement from Blizzard seemed kind of off; they pretty much state that they have no intention of adding other non-Blizzard games and kind of put this out there that it will be a one-off type thing specifically for Destiny.

Honestly, I can't blame them. Anything they add to the app will directly compete for their customers who were, before today, only seeing Blizzard ads, products and focused 100% on lining their own pockets.

Definitely. I'd expect a live stage demo at the very least along with probably some new console specific announcements.

No way Sony would dump all that cash and not use it to generate more buzz.
Sony aint dumping cash... Bungie/Activison/EA come to them cause they want that bread.

What is this supposed to mean? Lets go here.

You know what it means. You have a history of getting over defensive over things you like. (Destiny, Nintendo, Sony,Steam.......)

Yet claim others worship certain companies and so on.

You hang in threads of products you don't like and troll them.
You have a history of this since TXB but are even worse now.
You do worship MS and XB hence your trolling non Xbox threads.
You are in this thread because you are bitter towards bungie ever since they left MS.
I play em all and defend many and am proud of it.

I'm bitter at a game that's on Xbox from a company I've always said are over rated since the original Xbox days.
But yes tell yourself it's that rather than simply not liking a game.

Always said since the TxB days the reason I bought an Xbox was because of the Sega deals and nothing else....

What's funny is that you think any of those will out sell RDR 2. If that game comes this year, it will be the biggest game of the year hands down.

Game is 30 FPS so that they don't segment console base online. It will be 30 FPS on Scorpio for that reason. Bungie has never valued FPS over other things. There are plenty of 60 FPS shooters on OG Xbox and it could be the same case for Destiny if Bungie was willing to use dynamic scaling of resolution but they know that resolution sells more than FPS to the casual market this gen.

Anyone getting salty and blaming MS for Bungies decision sound like fools.

Take your meds Val. You're losing it.

How far do we go with this?

Nintendo Switch is the new and even lower hanging fruit as far as specs that developers have to take into consideration. Even lower still when they need to consider undocked mode.

I can look forward to you making ridiculous posts blaming them over the next four years, right?

Fifa 18 is going to look like a 360 game on PS4 Pro now, right?

Something something tech genius something bleh

Win 10 Store? See, you may read my posts, but you don't digest them. Because I'm not vehemently against the store, that means i favor it? That's absurd. The only Win 10 Store game i ever bought was Minecraft Win 10, which i called and got a refund for ten minutes later when i found it wasn't multiplayer compatible with XBO/360/any version. Posted about it here as well.

With that said, it's not feature/function comparable to Steam/GOG/Battlenet/Origin.. and the sales are literally never in favor of Win 10 Store.

Now if a game has cross play or is XPA with XBO, you're damn right i would want that version over the other clients and those are the only titles I own from the store.

IIRC you were being absurd to the point where you discussed potentially buying RE7 on XBO, but got upset about being told you could just buy it from Win 10 Store to unlock both versions... see, that's irrational.

So much for weird, made up narratives though.

I used to be a "60fps snob" but as long as 30 is a smooth, constant 30, it works fine. Destiny 1 played fine with 30.

How hard is it?
You think 3rd parties wanna step on the hardware makers toes?
You think when a new game is coming out devs are let loose to push the games as far as they want to without taking other formats into consideration? Certain PC's can't run certain games because of missing chipset features, not enough muscle and not enough memory.
Consoles are closed boxes and devs darn well think of each platform while making the games.
Trying to get all the news I can and been reading through Destiny 2 threads and watching Youtube videos/reading the comments... EVERYWHERE is blaming the weakest chain in the link the XBO some both PS4 and XBO.
Don't care what biased folk here say.

It will be 30fps on the over 40% stronger PS4,Pro and Scorpio because of the XBO.
I actually am not blaming MS I am blaming Bungie and CRaptivision for the lack of dedicated servers.
Don't be blaming Sony when Scorpio and Pro games aren't much different...blame PARITY

The only question I have is to whether or not I'll be getting this on Scorpio for (potentially) better resolution, or stick with PS Pro for Sony's timed exclusivity shiznit. Guess it widely depends on what my other Union PS Fireteam bros do.

There are plenty of 60 FPS games on OG Xbox One. They all use scaling resolution. Destiny's visuals aren't another level better than Halo 5, Battlefield or COD. There isn't a parity issue. It's a design decision to choose resolution over frame rate.

PS4/PC as the PS4 community is 2 strong/exclusive content and the PC version should follow.
They are "claiming" 4K 30FPS on the Pro...if it ends up true or not I doubt most will be able to tell em apart.

Running the game 720p/60fps vs likely 900p/60fps wouldn't sit well with MS.
Just like the 1st was 1080p/30fps on both when one platform is significantly more powerful than the other..coincidence? nope
