DF vs. Titanfall (Xbox One/PC)

I'm not advocating it....just think it might have made more sense to keep it Xb1 & 360 only to drive more sales. The fact that it looks worse on the Xb1 compared to the PC is not a point of contention. It was a fact from day 1.

A sale is a sale. Whether or not the game sold on pc or instead on console in the absence of a pc version, it's still a game sold. If anything, having it on pc gets more copies sold, because many of those pc gamers wouldn't have bothered if not on pc.

Almost every gamer that would play this kind of game already has a 360, so it's irrelevant.

I just find it funny that the almighty cloud is losing data. No excuse for people save data to get screwed.

IBelow is the most demanding gameplay mode you can play visually and the lowest I saw the framerate drop was 30.7 and that was extremely brief.so its not as bad as many sony fans want it to be, not to mention respawn has committed to updating it. During the typical encounters ( 2 v 2) it was above 45fps. Its not the PC version, but definitely very playable and fun.

I am very curious about the 360 version now though lol

I always have to laugh when I see remarks like this. It's like in the MS fans mind the only people that could possibly be negative about the XB1 are Sony fans. Gamers? Nah, not at all. MS fans that wanted more out of a new generation of an MS console? Not a chance.

It's sony fans and only sony fans.

For the record (not that it needs to be stated) I'm a PC fan, have been so for some time. I wouldn't be so pro-PC and would more likely be of the "If you have the $ go PC, otherwise get an XB1, unless you like Sony 1st party exclusives then do that. Best of all, if you can, go PC + console of choice" but I'm not that way and you want to know why?

Because MS fvcked up and delivered a mediocre piece of hardware that's bested by any decent PC built in the last 3 years (FTR: so is the PS4).

The fact that people can say stuff like "during most situations it only drops to 45 fps" and be HAPPY about that just makes me wince because it's sad, real sad.

wut? Idk know why your worried about it then. lol

I hope you didn't post this video to reinforce your POV because yea....if this video was encoded at 60fps it would look so much worse.

Well the idea was that gameplay mode is the most demanding, and very playable still. I mean most xbox fans are used to sub 30fps already, and thats the absolute worst case scenario with this game.

If some people who own it are to be believed it can regularly hit sub 30s if enough Titans are on screen. I'm sure they can grab some video footage of sub 30s much like you can get video footage that shows otherwise (well not really, framerate still looks pretty s*** in your footage as well. Thankfully Youtube only runs at 30fps, so it's not really noticeable in a 60fps game being played back at 30fps).

lol, Sony fans dont "want" it to be bad. DF analyzed the game and they are not Sony fans, it just so happens that in the current gen, the Xbox One's game performances are weaker. I like how when something non-positive comes out, it automatically points to "Sony fans".

Oh I'm not doubting it can't potentially hit some lower numbers, but for the most its above 40 during action, during the most demanding combat mode, and that's definitely above what most games last gen hit on consoles, not to mention the game is just a blast. Sucks the xb1 hardware doesn't have more punch, but its still a great experience. Maybe they can improve things a bit with some patches after DF got on them about fps.

I didn't say they were all sony fans, those are the ones that usually enjoy such, I mean tell me those don't represent a decent amount of hate here, like um, the metacritic user reviews on xb1, surely those are ALL xb1 owners. :)

Well, we put some time into this and didn't spot any single-digit frame-rates, but this is clearly a great way to stress-test the game, and we can well imagine that if all 12 Titans were let loose in a confined space, frame-rates could plummet to a noticeably unacceptable level.

Hello, click-bait!

Can't speak for others but there isn't actually a lot of hate going around from my end. The only reason I went Sony only this gen so far is because of last gen's experience and the more powerful hardware/lower price point. Saying MS needs to step up their game now since they started out the generation at a disadvantage isn't hate. It means I want them to improve and do well since a healthy competition benefits all gamers/consumers.

You might not won't that, and I'm sure many others do, but the reality is way more are in love with the failures MS is having and spend a lot of time with it. My view is MS/sony have both released incredibly weak hardware, all we can do is play the games from here out.

Microsoft has picked up their game. But the hardware won't change. We're just beating a dead horse with threads like this.

Lord help us if the 360 version is comparable.

Now they just need to drop that price!

Fresh off the presses! Got those 360 screen shots right here...
My insider @ Respawn told me that the 360 version doesn't support the animation of titans picking up their pilots...so they just climb a ladder! True next gen stuff! BELIEVE!!!

Expect 30fps @ 720p with a hefty coat of Vaseline! My insider told me the framerate dips a little into the single digits but that is only when you are climbing down a ladder! Those effects!

Edited by Plainview: Those were Mechassault screens.

I'm sure there will be patches to address the issues, seems to be the theme in the early days of this gen.

Its a 1st gen game made from a company who isn't to good at making good graphix.(pc version although better doesn't look much different)

Hardware won't change but the way they use it should if MS is to be believed.

360 version is sub HD 30fps.

Conspiracy time... do they purposefully ruin the 360 version to make the X1 version look better?

It's likely. After all MS purposely ruined the XB1 to make the PS4 look better and it worked, so they'll probably stick with what works.
