DF vs. Titanfall (Xbox One/PC)

It ran pretty good, no where near 60fps though. It was more like a decent 30fps and dipped whenevers*** went down IIRC.

I'm pretty sure it's a bit harder to get an online game 60 fps compared to an offline game.

Its a 1st gen game made from a company who isn't to good at making good graphix.(pc version although better doesn't look much different)

Hardware won't change but the way they use it should if MS is to be believed.

360 version is sub HD 30fps.

From a company not too good at making graphics? Lol

In the XB1's defense, there's plenty of frame rate drops on the pc version as well.

It's simply a poorly optimized game. On my hardware, BF4 runs butter smooth totally maxed out with 64 players. TF, quite often, dips into 40 fps territory.

Oh, and my gripe about the mouse seems to be echoed by many others. As someone elsewhere put it..."it feels like using a mouse adapter on console".

Played the game extensively. The only time's I've every really seen frame drops are when Titans nuclear explode, sometimes. The rest of the game has been pretty smooth for me. They will be the occasional frame drop here and there, but it's not as big of a problem as people seem to be making it out to be.

It's not so much fps dips due to the game itself, it has more to do with lag. Some games are crazy buttery smooth, but plenty of others that lag like crazy. Considering the amount of players, it shouldn't lag so bad.

Not in my experience.

In the hours and hours I've played, there's been less than a handful of deaths that I was a little miffed by.

I'm actually doing pretty good, especially with the controller, so deaths isn't the problem, it's the choppy feels at times when it lags.

as far as deaths go, this is one of the only games that I'm ok when i die...as I don't feel like the game is cheap in that regard.....unlike CoD.

COD is turbul because of that. I'm not experiencing any choppiness except as stated above. I really can't point to a time where choppiness happened outside of absolute chaos between titans.

Conspiracy time... do they purposefully ruin the 360 version to make the X1 version look better?
Absolutely not.

People are underestimating the technical requirements of the game and overestimating the capabilities of the 360.

I'm sure Bluepoint are trying their hardest to make the best game they can.

Ultimately, the 360 is 2005 tech. People decry the Xbox One as 'weak' but it is still 8 -10 times more powerful than 360.

When porting to technologically weaker hardware something has to give. Titanfall is pushing a lot of objects, particles and alpha effects. It isn't the prettiest at times but it is doing a lot more on screen than Call of Duty.

I'm hopeful for a decent port but I'm under no illusion that it could ever match the Xbox One version.

I just wish they'd show the damn thing.

Is for me. I can't stand joining lobbies and seeing a few pings over 150 when everyone else is well below 80.

I've had pretty significant lag issues on X1 as well. I have not run into fps issues, feels like lag to me.

It feels like Diablo on PC. Everything is fine then all of a sudden you get a massive lag bomb.

That's how it feels for me too. It's annoying, because it's like every 30 seconds or so, there's like this annoying slight pause. like when an elder scrolls game pauses to quick save, and yeah, that's how it felt on D3 as well.

Now that I think about it, I wonder how many people are confusing frame-rate with lag.

Anyways, game plays great on XB1. No massive framerate dips for me.

Everyone who complains about the framerate in Titanfall confuse it with lag. I believe the proper term is, "packet loss."

I suggest you go back and check the reviews of CoD games when it was controlled by the respawn dudes....games were for sure known for their visuals.

Why people keep hanging on to this unfounded claim is beyond me.
