Diablo III thread

I see at least 4 differently geared crusaders in the top 10 ranks. I think they may have the most variety of very strong builds in the game at this time. I may be wrong though. I will prob do 2-3 classes in the new season like usual. Dh, Barb and Sader. I used to do 90% monk but they have the least interesting changes this time for me.

Blizzard recreating Diablo 1 in Diablo 3, reveals premium Necromancer class

No Diablo 4, but a new Necromancer class and a recreation of Diablo 1 in Diablo 3 instead.

The Necromancer will be added to the game in 2017 via a paid character pack, so not as part of an expansion. The Necromancer abilities weren't detailed in the opening ceremony but is inspired by the Necromancer from Diablo 2. The Necromancer is playable at BlizzCon this weekend.

Diablo 1 will be recreated in Diablo 3 courtesy of an anniversary patch that's arriving on the Public Test Realm next week. The patch, Darkening of Tristram, will take you back into the cathedral and down into 16 levels of monster-filled dungeons that will include the four main bosses from the first DIablo game.

There will be a special "Glorious Retrovision" graphics filter to make the game look pixelated and grainy, and character movement will be locked to eight directions.

Blizzard also said it would be added two new zones for free to Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls next year. They are the Shrouded Moors, and the Temple of the First Born. They'll be accessible via Adventure mode.

Meh. I, like many other people, was hoping for a full expansion or even the confirmation of Diablo 4. Nothing they announced makes me want to get back in for the new season just to do the same old grind I've been doing since RoS came out. The announcement does point to the rumoured cancelled expansion being real though, 2 new zones and a new class sounds very expansion-y.

I love that they're still adding stuff to the game, but a paid character?!

I've bought the game 3 times, and I sure as hell aren't paying for a character for a game that I haven't booted up for a year.

They should have released him 18-24 months ago. It's not like he is a suprise class or anything.

How the f*** do you access this Darkening of Tristram s***?

Is a new area included?

I rebought this because of the PS4 Pro update (4th time I've owned the game....), and I'm straight up addicted to this shiz all over again.

Diablo isn't a game, it is digital crack. I have a massive backlog of SP games, plus MP games I want to play more, and what am I doing? Replaying Diablo 3 on my 3rd platform.

I'm doing my first hardcore run to grab some of the only trophies I never picked up! Playing as a crusader for the first time, lots of fun.

Just an FYI for Diablo fans.

Path of Exile is coming to X1. It's a F2P game similar to Diablo. It's on PC already.

I've spent hundreds of hours of Path of Exile and it's been a few years since I've played it (on PC). I think it's great that it's coming to xbox one and everyone who enjoys Diablo-like games should definitely give it a try. I'm guessing they'll keep their F2P model and it's very fair, at least it was the last time I played. Just cosmetic stuff and extra stash tabs; stuff I was happy buying to support the devs. It's much more complex than Diablo III - but the passive skill tree can get really tough at higher levels and I found it easy to f*** up a character unless I followed a build, so just beware of that. At the time I played, there were no skill respecs so I'm not sure if they've been added in.

As for Diablo 3... Well, I'm at 1000 hours easily. I've owned it on PC since 2012, then got the Xbox 360 version, got the 2nd version with RoS, then got the PS4 version and recently just got the xbox one version to play it with my bro. I'm already paragon 200 on the xbox one, oops, was only supposed to launch it to give it a try! Suffice to say Bliz has made their $ from me, and yes I will buy any future content they release for D3 because it's obviously more than a game to me; it's a digital drug!

So in conclusion.. Path of Exile is worth your time but IMO Diablo 3 nails the action/combat aspect of it. Both games are similar yet offer something different. Play them both of course!

Started another character wanted to run through the campaign on XB One to get all the achievements. Playing as a Crusader, has some nice abilities and cool looking armor. I did not know the game lets you share paragon points between characters.

I finished a play-through on Hardcore difficulty with a Crusader this weekend. Possibly my favorite class out of those I've pushed to 70 (Barb, Monk, & Crusader now). Definitely the way to go if you want to do a hardcore play-through, extremely survivable.

The paragon points REALLY help you level other characters up quick. You can pump the difficulty up quick after starting and getting some decent gear. I started a Demon Hunter, he's already level 30 after finishing Act 1!

I've been wanting to get back into this to start a Monk. But I couldn't find my copy of the game. I don't really trade in many games anymore so this was a mystery for a few days. I thought I had some how misplaced my copy of the game and couldn't remember where it was. This was very strange given the fact that all of my games are stacked in one place.

Well, it turns out my nephew took my copy without asking. And now I'm going to have to re-purchase the game because I can't bring myself to ask for it back. But I told the little thief that he should never do that again unless he wants me to cut off his hands.

A friend kept telling me how awesome a Wizard is. So I started one tonight just to try it out in Adventure mode. Just sit back and lay waste to monsters! Pretty cool caster class.

Not only that, but any powers you extract using the Kanai cube are also shared amongst characters, along with gold and blood shards. So for example, I found some nice legendary gear on my Witch Doctor (who can do T11) and extracted the powers out of them. Switched to my Monk, and was able to assign three legendary powers (one weapon, one armor, one jewelery) to him which boosted his DPS by a few hundred thousand!!

When I got my game, it came with a bonus spaulders armour called Spaulders of Zakara which makes it so none of your armor ever degrades. You'll find better, but the chances of you finding another item that has the ability to prevent all armour from degrading is slim to none.

If you ever play super high levels getting killed as nauseam you need to pay gold to repair items.

Chances are the amount of gold you earn will be so much you never have to worry about gold, but if you did get that free item, don't sell it. Just store it in the chest just in case.

The crusader class is extremely powerful. I played it like an archer killed most enemies from long range. Seemed like an OP class to me.

I do not normally boost, but I am quite a guru in this game. If there are any question, feel free to ask me.

Anway, is it me, or do the new Necro (female) looks like Cara Devingne?

I'm back on Diablo 3. If they could merge this games combat with Path of Exiles skill tree I might never see the sun.
Is Path of exile as good as Diablo? Ive been holding off...

I'm trying to resist buying the Necro too... Ive spent hundreds of hours in the game, and I really think he should have been one of the original toons.

It depends on what you want out of these games IMO. If you just want to smash stuff and get loot then Diablo is better. If you want to plan out a build on an intricate and massive skill tree I would say PoE if better.

I'm more of the rpg kinda person, so I think I should try Exile.

Honestly, I have no idea why I haven't already.
