Does anyone know if its possible to make a team without Cloud? Maybe I'm missing something but I can't seem to create a team without the Spikey-Haired Edge Lord in it.
I'm starting to click with the battle system. I think I now understand the difference between Synergy Skills & Synergy Abilities.
It appears that Synergy Skills are used in real time to gain ATB charges, ATB use in turn charges Synergy Abilities which are super over the top tag-team moves like the flashy Limit Break attacks.
Now that I have a better understanding the combat is flowing much better and I'm having even more fun. I can't wait to see what other weapons can be found which unlock new skills for each character.
I set the battle camera to the farthest setting (3 I think) and it gives me a much better view of what's happening. The only other problem is that the screen can easily be obscured by all the particle effects, that's a small price I'm willing to pay for such flashy combat.
Understandable, in my opinion the game doesn't do a great job of explaining all the systems that overlap with each other.I am about 40 hours in and I have only started to understand the combat lol
I do believe the next Final Fantasy as in 17 has to be appeal to western demographics by focus on western aesthetics and design. It's clear people are put off by the anime style in design and tone. The most popular japanese games all have a visual appeal to the west such as Resident Evil, Elden Ring and even Nintendo games.
16 and Rebirth are selling about the same despite having extremely different designs and tone.I do believe the next Final Fantasy as in 17 has to be appeal to western demographics by focus on western aesthetics and design. 16 was very Game of Thrones esque from my experience

They just need to keep the budgets in check and accept that the series isn't going to reach massive numbers.
