Football/Soccer Video Games Discussion

That would be impressive if it is true. I wonder if its only something you'll see in the replay or will it be visible with the actual hit. I curious to see how that kind of application of frames to a realtime event does not impact on the game performance.
It will be in gameplay. The whole purpose is to give greater control to us the players.

The store says this is 60FPS+ so must haave a 120FPS mode too.

I get the marketing message but I just don’t understand the implementation of it. MI doesn’t work like that. It’s like a sales guy throwing in some buzz terminologies at a sales pitch. I understand what they are trying to convey but that’s works like no MI algorithm I’ve ever worked with

A few devs have spoke about ML doing similar things. ML is supposedly the next big thing in gameing.

I normally not on EA side. But it seems FIFA are the moe greedy one here. I can se charging more being okayish if it adjusted to inflation. But charging double. Come on.

We can call out EA for all we want, but FIFA game success isn't just about licence, but also becuase the games are geberally well recieved.

EA hasn't done a thing to improve Fifa in years. If anything, the game has regressed. They put zero effort into AI, and everything into their pay to win scheme. The game still has the same catch-up logic and flat out cheese to keep games close.

They do the same thing with all their sports games - invest tons of money to push out the competition and then put minimal effort in once they have the (near) monopoly.

They make tons and tons of money selling people packs, which is just a giant pay to win slot machine.

I am a big critic of gambling in games, & I am certainly not saying EA ain't greedy, becuase they are. I am just saying in the context of this licencing, FIFA are being greedy.

And got the answer I needed:

If this licensing deal does end up falling through, It won’t affect the developer’s ability to use player likenesses, player names, officially branded stadiums, team names, and other licenses, which EA has negotiated separate deals with companies like FIFPRO, the global representative for pro football players.

LOL, apparently Fifa is going to make a game called Fifa 23 (no idea who's going to develop that).

I know EA is the evil empire, but is anyone going to care that their game is called Ea Sports FC?

EA are making it, FIFA 23 is the last one .

It certainly isn't as advertising friendly, or even impulse buying friendly. Hell, EA Sports FC doesn't even sound like a Football game, sounds more like a Wii Sports type of deal.

Maybe it is an American thing. I wouldn't know what Fifa was if not for the video game. Heck, I still think footballs should mostly be thrown around. ;)

"Gameplay is good." lol GTFOH!!! Terrible Goalkeepers, your dumb AI team mates, hyper-motion is just another layer of scripting, Speed Speed Speed yet again, player switching is terrible still.

So glad I didn't buy it. I won an Ultimate Edition via Twitch.

Lol at Woman's footy added. Waste of resources and virtually nobody will touch it.
Everyone knows that. it wasn't added due to actual demand. Its was just to appeal to loud Twitter mobs & game "journalists". Mordern equalivance of painting goat blood on the door.

Same with Diablo 4, it will have obese bodytype for the druid, & if there is a bet, I think 99% will bet that the female druid will be the least picked character. It wasn't added because most players want that. It was just a appeal to a tiny minority & twitter rmobs & "journalists" to show how inclusive they are.

I was in the Army, there were NO fat people. Its not discrimination. You cannot meet the physical demand for soldiering & be able to pass the fitness test being obese.

I haven't touched an EA Sports game in years, and I get them through Game Pass for nothing. I've never been happier. These games are designed to make you rage with the horrible AI cheating.

I used to play in an NHL league with friends. Every game we played had some sort of last minute comback to keep it close. We were all about the same skill so we didn't think much of it until it happened every game. You didn't want to be up a goal with too much time left in the game, because the shift would wreck you. If you were down a goal, you could stop defending, because your goalie was a stud and wouldn't put you down 2.
