I just played Fortnite for quite a few sessions. It's a good game but coming from PUBG it definitely feels a much "lighter" version of PUBG. Less hardcore in every sense and less stress overall I guess?. Definitely doesn't give me that rush feeling where my heart is about to burst out of my ribcage like in PUBG. But I still appreciate the game.
 
Can't wait to play this weekend. Hopefully there won't be server issues.

PUBG is all about intensity.

Fortnite is all about fun.

Now that Fortnite has passed PUBG in popularity, the next thing it will do is lap PUBG. Fortnite will have double the player base of PUBG in less than three months from now. This is the fastest growing game of all time. No question.

Oh it absolutely was GOTY 2017. That doesn't change.

I just knew that its flaws, and Fortnites strengths, didn't matchup well for PUBG in the long term.

Fortnite gives you building, actual weapon variety, destructable environments, and fun gadgets to work your way to a Victory Royale. PUBG hasn't given players any additional decisions to make since it came out nearly a year ago (maybe vaulting?). While PUBG Corp focuses on optomization and cheaters, Epic is giving players different ways to play.

Go look at the patch note history of both games each week the past 4 to 5 months. It's a massacre .

I don't expect PUBG to challenge Fortnite any more moving forward. I do think we MIGHT see Fortnites successor at this years E3 in some form. Either way, Epic has the next year or so before they have to worry about someone taking the crown. I can't wait to see what they do with the time.

PUBG will go down as the most important Battle Royale game ever but it's time is coming to an end. Can't wait to see what game takes the crown from Fortnite. I hope we see a ton of BR games at E3.

I never see anyone on my friends list playing PUBG on Xbox live, then again most of the people on my list don't seem to play much of anything lately so I can't really go by that lol. I haven't added anyone new on my XBL friends list since getting a One X and most of the people I had from the 360 seem to no longer be part of XBL. On PSN I see a lot of Fortnite going on, it's crazy how popular this game has become.

It's definitely the biggest game out there in terms of streaming.

Also, season 2 is ending this week. The game's most likely getting a big update on Thursday.

This couldn't wait.

Context: My teammate dies five minutes into our duos match. He goes to take a phone call. I find a bush, one of the crappiest items in the game, and camp my ass off grabbing 5 kills. Which leads us to this point. 12 players remaining.



Result: Pee. Pee everywhere.

That's awesome. I don't think I would have had the patience to do that. The paranoia of getting blasted would have been too much for me. :crazy:
 
Definitely getting the Battle Pass this season. I got in late on the last one.
 
The quality of the updates makes me feel good about the success this game is having. They really are doing all the right things.

I say this all the time. Epic is schooling the rest of the industry on how to support their games and how to communicate with their community. Such an important game.
