Forza Motorsport 7

Does it really matter how much gameplay is shown on the commercial? To most of us here we've probably seen more gameplay here or on other sites then what we'll play on the first day of purchase... I've even been keeping tabs on turn10s purchase of a ford gt.

I love the live action stuff myself, assuming of course we see enough real footage. It is always fun to look back at the real life commercials. I forgot how neat the FH2 one was.

I'm just more irritated at the lack of footage in general. We just see the same tracks over and over! Gimme the 1X version of the 'Ring, damnit! Bathurst! Gimme footage of Brands Hatch and Silver Stone! Show me that you've learned how to make a proper replay (which is bonkers, really, as the commercials always show better angles than the game's actual replays do).

They need to just hire a pro replay team. It's their biggest flaw, imo. I don't enjoy watching the replays at all. You'd think they'd realize the word-of-mouth Advertising opportunities that games like GT have because of the super real looking replays...

Totally agree with ya on the their replay angles. They need more and change it up with each lap/location. I think fm4 may have done it. But why not make some of them camera crane actually functional and uses shots from their, no?

I remember way back when after fm2 they hired a team of in game drifters, who made some epic videos on YouTube, to make their trailers, starting with 3. Along with the insane stunts they could pull off together they recreated scenes from top gear and initial d.

The cuts are almost always too fast and don't feel real. They need to watch real races on tv, and mimic what they do. That's what GT does, and they are the best in the biz when it comes to replays. Keeping it grounded is essential for a "sim".

Ok, we knew it was gonna be big but why didn't they just pull a F4 and put it on two disc?

The Xbox One game will be approximately 95 GB at launch. Just about 45 GB of that contained on the Blu-ray disc. The remainder will be available to download for free on September 29

Thanks for posting this, since I haven't really been following news on this game. FM7 was gonna be the only game that would've given me a reason to unbox my X1 this fall. This type of nonsense is totally absurd.

Forza Motorsport 7 Demo – Sept. 19

The official demo for Forza Motorsport 7 is coming for both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. The demo features three unique racing experiences in Forza Motorsport 7, showcasing the depth and breadth of the experiences available in the game. Drive the Forza Motorsport 7 cover car – the Porsche 911 GT2 RS – to the brand-new Dubai circuit and experience the thrill of navigating the Jebel Hafeet Pass, one of the most famous driving roads in the world. Or, pilot the massive Mercedes-Benz Tankpool racing truck to victory at the high-speed Mugello circuit in Italy.

For drivers who want the ultimate test, the Nissan NISMO GT-R LM is available for a race at the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit. Here, fans will be challenged to handle the ‘Ring’s complex corners and elevation changes, while also tackling the dynamic track conditions that will make racing in Forza Motorsport 7 so breathtaking. Racing through rainstorms laced with thunder and lightning make for a visual showcase and for a challenge like no other – where dynamic puddles grow and shrink with the intensity of the rain.

The Forza Motorsport 7 demo will feature assists that will allow players to dial in the difficulty the way they see fit; and for PC players there will performance options to adjust the experience to each player’s PC performance capabilities. For the full list of PC specs supported by Forza Motorsport 7, check out our recent story on ForzaMotorsport.net.

So where is it?

The dynamic weather and lighting is nice. Seemed easier to drive around in the rain in this one but it could be because they put you in a GTR.

Not impressed. I took the Nismo GTR round Nurburg GP in the rain with all assists off and it was easy street, it shouldn't. That car on that track, in that weather with no assists should be a real handful.

And talking about weather, why has T10 taken two steps back with rain? 3D puddles are gone and replaced by the normal crappy wet system that T10 said they wouldn't do.

The other two races were like a Sunday drive through the countryside.

For the first time sine this franchise hit Xbox I will not be buying.

its because this time its dynamic

It looks amazing even on my original X1. Really like the dynamic rain.

I only ran one race. A no-brainer buy for me, but I will wait for Xbox X to play it.

Game looks stellar! Only gripe I have is the damn trees! Are they ALL "X" trees now? That said, I am kinda blown away at the improvement over FM6. The HDR and improved image quality on top of an improved, dynamic lighting system? WTF T10!?

I compared this looker to the Gamersyde uncompressed 4k footage, and while it does hold up well, that 4k One X version still eats it for lunch!

Yeah . but do your underwear still have them??

This post begs many questions that nobody really wants the answer to. Big swing and a miss.

As for the game, it looks amazing on the X1 w/HDR. This will be the first thing that I will be playing on the X1X.
