Game Lineup Comparisons v. 1.2

Is Day Z not coming to Xbox at all?

The developer says he wants it to be a multi-plat title but hasn't confirmed which platforms, you could probably safely bet it would end up on XB1, though if for some reason it doesn't you would still have the remastered State of Decay which is great zombie survival fun.

I wish I was half as smart as Hard Land thinks he is.
Isn't halo5 hitting in 2015? What about the next Gears of war?

Why doesn't anyone "intelligent" include them in the discussion here? Why not factor in quality instead of "?" quantity. These new titles with no release dates yet for ps4 if reviewed well have weight but otherwise it is laughable to call it a clear win. Especially when the same gang preaches quality reviews in other discussions.

In previous threads review scores mattered when defending PS3 titles nobody bought vs the mountains of software the 360 moved. Well reviewed games on 360 and xb1 didn't count to the same brainiacs because the games didn't sell well? You ladies can't have it both ways because it doesn't change the truth the 360 sold more software and that is what the "console war" is all about.

For mango >

Bloodborne
No Man's Sky
Deep Down
Persona 5
The Witness
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
Rime
DayZ
Planetside 2
H1N1
The Tomorrow Children

Notice, only two sequels on my entire list? I crave ingenuity .

Some people see that list and agree it looks good. Others see this image...

Gears 4=2016
Gears collection with a Gears 4 beta=2015.

If I ran the Xbox.

Agreed, 2015 is too packed with AAAs, not to mention unannounced games that MS always does, but for now:

Halo 5
TR
QB
Fable

More than likely:

Forza
Crackdown

Fable will be early 2015, IMO.
Crackdown will move to 2016.
Forza 6 and QB will be August/September games
Halo 5 & Tomb Raider will be October/November games.

There is absolutely no way that Tomb Raider, QB, or Halo move to 2016, IMO.

So Forza#/Horizon are every other year titles now? :really:

Yeah it works perfectly, two different studios, so we get a sim one year and a arcade racer the next. 2 year dev cycles for each.

If you like Halo, Gears, and Forza you're likely to prefer the Xbox One. If you like Uncharted, God of War, and Gran Turismo you're likely to prefer the PS4. If you like progression with features such as achievements, the best controller, and having the all in one media box you'll also likely prefer the Xbox One.

That is all. Enjoy the games people. If you care enough to justify your preference to the point of bashing the competition then you probably wish you owned both consoles and can't own them both for some reason. I'll never understand it. Ask your rents to buy you the other console or get a job? Shouldn't be that hard.

Prefer the 4 because more variety in exclusives/games that cater to my tastes. Only Gears is attractive for me from the X1 side.

I think so. That means 2 year development cycles, perfect.

For me personally even every 2 years just seems really quick. I loved the Forza series since day one but it just felt like the same game every time. I'm not saying take forever like GT but just seems really quick. It's the main reason I'm holding off on the X1 for a while as I got bored with the same 4 or so series over and over on the 360.

Yeah I understand, but I like playing the arcade game for year waiting for the sim an vice versa, its a great mix.

And to me, GT6 is exactly what you are saying, almost the exact same as GT5, more so than any forza iteration.

I can understand that. I do not agree, but can understand it.

Thats one of the reasons why the Forza series don't sell that good.

Forza 3 sold 5.5 million, that's more than most sony exclusives and it releases far more often than GT and scores better consistently.

First had did well last couple of gens. This gen, I think sales suffer from
A) lack of promotion & bundles ( I am surprise there is no forza 2 bundle here)

B) poor sales of X1 in traditionally nations racing games, mainly continental Europe.

Forza 3 was heavily bundled so I don't think it sold 5.5 million on its own due to that Forza 3 only did 175K in its first month of NPD.

and why the f*** you like to bring MS (insert your title here) sold more Sony exclusives in every freaking thread? Forreal. I can say the same thing right back ya. GT5 (GT5P too) sold more than most MS exclusives. What are you trying to prove?

Next year is going to be so good. You have The Order, Bloodborne, MLB, Tearaway, Until Dawn,Uncharted 4, Ratchet and Clank all pretty much confirmed. For Microsoft you have Halo 5, Quantum Break, Fable Legends, Tomb Raider and probably Forza 5. Plus there is a chance Crackdown, Scalebound or Phantom Dust releasing. There really is something for everyone.

It will be interesting to see what games actually end up releasing next fall. This year really delivered IMO. Destiny, Shadow of Mordor, Alien Isolation, Far Cry 4, and Sunset Overdrive were fantastic games that kept me playing my Xbox almost daily. I also bought the download code for Assassins Creed Unity from a friend, so I've got that to play as well.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like 2015 better be pretty darn good to top this year.

I think it may have already, on paper. Some great looking games coming and some big names we have yet to see footage of, 2015 could be epic.

Yeah, and that's what I'm saying, 2014 also looked like a beast on paper, with Batman, Witcher, Dying Light, Evolve, etc. all scheduled for fall before receiving delays. I will be interesting to see what games stay on track for this fall and how good they end up being, because IMO they had better be pretty good to beat out the 2014 fall lineup.

Some games will get delayed, it is an inevitable part of gaming. However, I think the losses will be small and the list still superior to that of 2014. The list of games that interest me will be largely unaffected, and it is a pretty large list considering...

Arkham Knight
Dying Light
The Division
Bloodbourne
The Order 1866
No mans Sky
Mortal Kombat X
Quantum Break
Rainbow Six Siege
Project Cars
Witcher 3
Ori & the Blind Forest
Below
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars is about the only one that could be delayed. All the others I am highly confident will release in 2015.

There are so many more games coming too. I mean my list does not even include...

Halo 5
Uncharted 4
MGS : Phantom pain
Until Dawn
Elder Scrolls Online
Resident Evil Revelations 2

and there is probably plenty I am forgetting.

Forza 4 sold right under that numbers of F3, so those were bundles too? Forza 2 was 4 million, all those were bundles? How can you downplay every single game? Why would you is a better question. The reason I bring up the sales of Forza compared to sony exclusives is you said it didn't sell well, well I guess that means most sony exclusives don't sell well then, that's my point.

GT had a single successful full release all generation, Prologue was a demo I would hope GT5 did will with years of hype behind a single game, it wasn't surprising.

That's a very primitive way of looking at things.

It's a very logical way of looking at things. People act like these consoles are worlds apart when they have an almost identical library of games and feature set. It all comes down to which exclusives you like more and which console your friends are playing. I prefer Xbox but if you told me i could only game on a PlayStation i probably wouldn't lose any sleep over it. They're both awesome. People just need to enjoy the ride.
