So, I've had Sennheiser 280HD and Denon AD-2000 and several other brands. They all wore down over time, and what I am left with is my original Siberia headphones I bought in 2007. They are still functioning as good as new - Even the foam cups which is amazing considering how rough I have been with them.
They are so insanely durable. The sound they delivered was always okay. It was good in gaming, but in music and movies it was just decent/fine. I felt my Sennheisers did it better(obviously).
But the fact that they lasted so long, just made me think about these new ones. I've been told to avoid Turtlebeach, Astros and Razers as well as many other gaming headphones. The thing is though - I would like to have a pair of headphones I can use for everything.
I know that the optimal way of doing it, is having a good pair of music headphones and then a detachable mic next to it. However I think it would make more sense if I could get a pair of headphone with a attached mic that can be hidden(like these).
At the same time, what annoys me about my old Siberia's is that they are insanely leaky. I don't want other people to know I am listening to One Direction on the train.
Anyone got any recommendations? thoughts? Anybody have have tried these?
As far as I know, these don't work with PS4/Xbox One. Also, I've been told that the Sony MDR-V600, and MDR-7506 are amazing studio headphones for a cheap price. They don't have a mic and they might not look as fancy as these.
I'm a bit at a loss here. Audio peripherals are a jungle.
