Game of the Year?

The poll is making me think I need to take another look at Mordor. Seemed like a cliched action game at first glance, but there must be more to it. Also, I need to remember to play Wolfenstein one of these days.

It's the best game based on lords of the rings that's ever been done. Its definitely worth a lot.

If nothing else, this poll is definitely making me excited to get further into DA:I.

If people haven't yet though, really should give Wolfenstein a chance. It's excellent.

I voted for Shadow for one reason, fun. I just had so much fun playing it.

Tough choice between FH2 and DA:I but Horizon has really invigorated my passion for racing games and am enjoying it so much. And i'm still rotating between Sunset Overdrive and Dragon Age which would be GOTY for me too.

Yep, there is tough competition for the title this year.

It's actually kind of interesting the number of exclusives on this list.

Okay, amigaengine I'll second that myself. Bayonetta 2 is added to the poll. So is Alien: Isolation, which I noticed I missed when I re-read the earlier thread. Div 2 and Evil Within are out, because neither got any votes, and I figure it's better to use the spots for games that people will actually vote for.

Dark Souls 2 great game with a high metacritic average needs to be added.

Sorry, it's too late to add any other games now. No one except you named it GOTY in the other thread, so that's why it's not here.

Two rather niche games tied for first. It's been kind of a weird year, kind of a thin one at the top, imo. No real blockbuster standouts. Titanfall and Destiny were supposed to be, but both seemed to fall short.

I'm not sure any of those games really stand out as game of the year. They are all really fun and well made games, but I'm not sure anyone of them scream out as above and beyond the others. FH2 is an extremely fun game, but does add much beyond FH. That's the problem is that all those games are fun, but just well made games in established franchise/genres. Titanfall would have stood more if it a more compelling single player. Sunset Overdrive suffers a similar fate. It's lack of a compelling story kind of killed it's momentum. I enjoyed all the games listed that I played, they just don't have anything that really separates them as better than the others.

So no Sony exclusive that wasn't a remake measured up for GOTY? And 3 MS exclusives did? Where's the outcry?

Ha, yeah, even the Wii U snuck one on the list. Maybe next year, Sony. It's a tough crowd for them here, though. Still, the main reason is that Sony didn't put out much GOTY-level content this year (unless you count a GOTY remake).

Dragon Age Inquisition. According to Origin I have 122hrs on record with this game.
This is from one play through? I am almost 60hours and barely level 13, haven't even kill a dragon, yet to have any physicality with any teammate & a truckload of stuff to do!

Amazing game. I do not know how it compares to skyrim & gta 5,as I never played them, but The amount of content & sheer size of the game is crazy.
