Glad at least here FH2 won. Great game and like I said before the most FUN racer in at least a decade.

Love FH2 but I'm surprised it won.


Sticking with SO but its been a strong few months for gaming.
 
If you compare our candidates to the ones voted GOTY around the rest of the web, here's what it looks like.

The ones not on our poll (perhaps the ones we missed out on appreciating?):

- Mario Kart 8
- SSB
- Dark Souls 2
- Hearthstone
- Shadow of the Labyrinth

The ones that were on our poll but got zero nods at other sites (perhaps not GOTY-worthy?):

- Sunset Overdrive
- Far Cry 4
- Titanfall
- Wolfenstein: New Order

Interesting. I don't even know what Shadow of the Labyrinth is. Ah, I see it's a 3DS game. Really need to get myself one of those.

I said in another thread i'd change my vote to DA: I now. I just hadn't played it enough to give it GOTY over FH2 but now that i'm further along it's obvious. I might even give DriveClub the racing title of the year the more i think about it. FH2 was fun but it lacked what a real racing sim like DC brings to the table.

From what I've seen it looks to be a hybrid of arcade and sim. Totally different games though each with their own merits and achievements.
Theres no denying it's graphically better. Though it is easier to achieve been a track racer.

I'll give ya two weeks till your sporting a horizon avatar ;)

Oh, no sim there. It is indeed arcade.
 
Now that I've played it, I would like to change my vote from Wolfenstein to Sunset Overdrive.
