I'd like to see what a new Fable game might offer, sans Molyneaux.

Assassin's Creed doesn't need to stop, it just needs to slow down.

It doesn't need to to do either of those. Assassins Creed needs to evolve.
It really hasn't changed much since the first game. Black Flag looked like it might be the start, but seems they regressed with the latest one.

That was sort of what I meant, although I used short-hand. I meant they need to slow down, reflect, make the next game something worth waiting for, not just another quick iteration.

Its explained in the video and they are 100% correct.

No. Every mainline game that is released has been in Game of the Year contention for that year. We have no idea how prepared Konami is for a post Kojima Metal Gear game so you AT LEAST let them try to get one out the door before you call the franchise a goner.

There have been quite a few game series that maintained a high quality with new directors/teams at the helm. What a God damned joke.

Metal Gear is the first series that needs a very long hiatus and come back with a new evolution of the game. It's by far the most stale video game series of all time. It hasn't offered anything new in the past decade, at least.... It needs a new creative lead since Kojima is a one trick pony it seems.

Have you played the Metal Gear Solid games?

I don't think Fable should die. But their reasoning is solid. Three games in a row that used the Fable name for experimental projects.

Give us a traditional Fable game. Hire talent from other studios to make the series great.

Or restart a new series in the genre and indeed let it die.,

But they didn't say the franchise should die

The most stale series of all time? Is this trolling? I can't tell.

Bought, no. Played yes. Boring, repetitive, generic, played out, POSs.

Going off of the gameplay improvements in Ground Zeroes (ie, going more Splinter Cell!), they've improved that a lot. I'm not crazy about the Uber-convoluted story though. I've always like Splinter Cell far more than Metal Gear. I bought the MG compliation for the 360 and have barely played it because 1. the gamplay is a bit janky and 2. the story is just so Bizarre.

I had already played through MGS 1 and 2. I loved them both until the end of 2 where it just got weird. I loved the phycho-babble and half-formed war commentary when I was younger and didn't understand the concepts very well. Now, half the time I'm like WTF? lol.

I am halfway interested in MGS 5. I don't want to bash the game because it does work for people, though.

I have reasons in addition to my opinion. The games are overrated POSs.

You have reasons why you don't like them. That is fine. I am only taking issue with "by far most stale series of all time" which makes little sense. If its offering nothing new than 99% of the series out there are equally stale.

Stories sucked terribly. Grade C movie material. It's the most overrated game series of all-time.

Metal Gear series is amazing, but with Kojima gone I would say yes make part 5 the last one. No way you are doing the series any better than the genius. Others on the list I agree with especially Fable, now those games are overrated POS.

As long as there are people out there who are enjoying the games I'm not going to say any series deserves to die. If you are sick of them, stop playing them.

Fable just needs a reboot. They need to look at what was promised with the original Fable and see if they can deliver the dynamic, open world experience they promised. The art style and gameplay alone merits a current gen effort, given the right team.
