GT: 10 Series That Deserve to Die

Watch Dogs needs to die an early death, can't wait for different hackers in various countries based around the same gameplay. Hong Kong Watchdogs, cyber warfare.

Gran Turismo can die, once legendary name, but they need to either reboot their enthusiasm with new people or just die altogether.

Fable can die too, just because I don't like it.

Why would you want that? If Square-Enix do that, then it won't sell that well at all in the Western Markets and will be a niche title like Tales of [insert title here] and other JRPGs. The name "Final Fantasy" is probably the only JRPG title that can break a million copies easily.

That's the issue, I'd rather the game be successful on its own merits than simply through marketing strategy. They're all uniquely different, but because they are part of the FF universe they are still slaves to a certain style of gameplay which I feel is growing more and more antiquated.

They aren't like that because of the franchise. That's the genre. In general, Final Fantasy gameplay actually tends to vary itself up quite a bit from game to game. Hell, they've made two MMOs, a rhythm game, action RPGs, and even a shooter once under the MMO banner. If you took away the brand, the genre would be the same. FFXIII would still play as it is if it was called How Lightning Got Her Groove Back.

Well, I was referring more to the main series rather than the offshoots.

The Metal Gear Solid hate in here, lol. It's one of the best franchises ever, whether you like it or not. Kojima is a killer when it comes to writing stories. Solid Snake is a legendary gaming icon. He's right there with Mario and Master Chief. Great gameplay, great story, Metal Gear Solid is the total package. Can't wait for The Phantom Pain.

I am interested in playing Ground Zeroes, now that it's free with gold XBL. It's been a little while for me. I did enjoy the first 2 on PS1 back in the day, even if they were glorified B movies. I've played a couple others, but they were nothing special.

However, I do support ending them post Phantom Pain because MG IS Kojima! He made the NES MG back in 87 or whatever. I think it's time to move on now. That's just my opinion. Let's invent some new heroes and new gameplay concepts after this last affair.
