I had absolutely zero intention of seeing this. All the talkback has made me very eager now. I can't wait.
After all the great reviews looks like I might go see this next weekend. I thought X-Men was the only comic book movie I would see this summer.
sucks I have to work saturday I was planning on seeing it then, I have to wait till sunday (groans).
Just got back from the IMAX 3D version.....awesome movie!!!
For me it's on par with the Avengers, and might even be a little better.
I use the RunPee app to figure out when to pee during a movie...but even the app said there is so much action and good dialogue there really isn't a great time to pee

Just got back and really, really enjoyed the movie. While I don't think it is on par with Avengers or Winter Soldier I did find it extremely enjoyable and look forward to adding the blu ray to my marvel movie collection.
Guardians Of The Galaxy - 10/10 was awesome. Great entertainment, funny, action packed, likeable characters, a fun thrill ride. I thought Rocket Raccoon steals the movie they did a great job on him. Dave Bautista was also good as Drax, I think they made a good choice with him. One of the best summer movies in years. It is really a must see in theaters. I enjoy my X-Men and more realistic dark/gritty DC movies also, but this just does so much right there is really not a bad thing to say about it. I'm glad Marvel goes with a different style instead of serious/darker takes on their films. This way we can have both worlds in each universe (Marvel/DC). My son really enjoyed it too.
I thought Batista improved during the movie to where I thought he was actually pretty good delivering lines by the end. Overall a good, fun movie.
Knew nothing of the comic going in and have to say the movie was an absolute pleasure. Graphics were seamless and not overdone. I really got a kick out the the interlaced humor and can't help but draw comparisons to the ultimate space opera Star Wars. This movie could get big and a sequel is a must. I may go see it again and I never do that.
Hard to say if I would put it above Avengers. They are both different movies with a different tone to them ... Avengers seems to take itself more seriously although there are some joking moments. Avengers also had the benefit of having a number of movies leading up to it where the characters were introduced, so some of the interactions made more sense. In Guardians there were a lot of references that I'm sure were missed by most people because they simply don't know the characters or the setting.
Still though, heck of a movie, better I think than anyone thought it would be when it was first announced, and looking forward to seeing more. The casting was rock solid, too. For the little screentime she had, I could not keep my eyes off of Nebula. Hope to see her more.

Man, can't wait to see it now. I'm glad it's good. I was hoping that it would be based on the trailers.
Really ? Cap 2 was not very impressive, but X-men DOFP was pretty awesome. Do you mean just in terms of enjoyment or does it match the quality too, writing, action, acting..etc
Short answer YES. Different animals all together though. I thought Cap 2 was one of the best thrillers that happened to star super heroes. Guardians was like Super Heroes meets Star Wars with a nice dose of comedy and flawless timing.
Went and watched this last night. Not all that good IMO. One of the weaker marvel movies. Writing was meh, characters were Shallow. story is hugely predictable. The humour was not to my tastes. Action scenes were ok. Effects were good.

Well different strokes for different folks but you are in the minority on that one Menace. Everyone I know that has seen Guardians loved it.
A lot of people I know love Paranormal Activity. That does not make it a good movie, but yeah, different strokes. It is not like we do not have enough Comic-book movies to satisfy most
