Apparently XBOX One preview members will get access to a beta test for an upcoming patch to the game. Sounds interesting.
From what it sounds like its gonna be a pretty massive overhaul, hopefully they finally get it right.
Got my free month email the day after I asked for and received a refund for Halo MCC.

How did you guys receive a free month of Gold? Cause i have yet to receive it. Maybe it has to do with that i didn't buy the game, but my bro did? We are sharing.
Either way....in the Halo 4 list, is it just me or is it always the same 9 maps to choose from? It should be all the Halo 4 maps and the DLC maps. When i choose ''View maps in play list'' i always see, Adrift, Abandon, Haven, Solace, Landfall, Monolith, Skyline, Pitfall, Vertigo. What is up with that?

Different maps are available in different Playlists. Some maps aren't available for certain game types.
But that;s a bit odd cause there are only two more playlists where Halo 4 is in. I could swear Halo 4 had many more maps in Slayer. I know it for sure, i am missing several here. Maybe it's because after one match it never continues when you press B? It tells me to press B and instead of choosing another map...i have to load the Halo 4 playlist again. Why is this so hard to simply fix?
No and I preordered it digitally. I figured it was being done it waves but its pretty strange to do it over this long of a period.
You do understand there are different playlists, right? Most of the DLC for Halo 4 was made for Big Team Battle. The Halo 4 playlist is a mix of "Slayer & Objective" maps, i.e. they are putting the maps that are suitable for 4 vs. 4 action in there. They aren't going to put all those large Halo 4 maps in 4 vs. 4, do you know how boring that would be? (I know the H4 playlist goes up to 5 vs. 5, but I'm saying the standard for Halo is 4 vs. 4 & it can start that way or when people leave it's usually around that number)
If you want to play those larger DLC maps from Halo 4, you simply choose to play Big Team Battle then vote for Halo 4 maps. They have both Slayer/Objective on the Big Team maps in the BTB playlist. The only difference is in Infinity Slayer Halo 4 (the BTB version) you have a default loadout where in the Halo 4 playlist it usually lets you use your Armor Ability all the time.
It makes perfect sense to me. Nobody really wants to play Harvest, Shatter, Exile, Vortex, Meltdown, Perdition, etc. 4 vs. 4. Those maps were designed for vehicles & BTB. Heck, you get two people in a Warthog on those maps & there would only be two people total on the ground fighting! lol. The only map that I didn't see why they didn't put in 4 vs. 4 is Daybreak because you could honestly play 4 vs. 4 CTF on there probably. (or Complex CTF)
They can't make everybody happy too. Sure, it would be nice to have playlists for everything, but you're talking splitting up the already small population that plays this game into even more hoppers/playlists late at night, making matchmaking take even longer or maybe not even getting a game at all. (you have to consider too that the whole population of a hopper isn't searching at once, people forget that, most people are in 10 min+ long games already)
Well I would say 60% of the DLC was made for Big Team in Halo 4. They did do a number of nice small/medium maps too. I love Halo 4.

I wasn't saying all maps were made for Big Team, but a lot of them were. The maps that are suitable for 4 vs. 4 are in the Halo 4 hopper anyways, so it's set up perfectly how it should be. (Skyline, Landfall, Vertigo, etc.)

Yeah, I wouldn't count on it. I love how it has almost a 5 star rating too. Maaaaaaaybe for the SP campaign I could kinda see that...
I wonder if they don't want to lower the price because more people would buy it and see how broken it is. Maybe they're waiting until the fix it to lower the price.
I think it has more to do with just the trend of digital pricing on consoles. Digital releases on consoles tend to be pretty pricey and stay that way (excluding the periodic sales). Look at that 50 cent game that came out digitally on the 360 couple years ago, when it was released digitally it was already a couple years old and it was $50. WTF?!
Yeah, but since its a first party game they could cut $10 off the price right off the bat because its an in house developed game. Hell...look at Sunset Overdrive...not even a first part title, out roughly the same amount of time as Halo MCC and I got that digital download for $35 I think, maybe its because the online is weak for Sunset so it doesn't have the longevity that a title like Halo does. Maybe they also don't want to screw over the retail establishments who might have a ton of copies of Halo they're still trying to sell.
I think it's cause they know Halo has a really big fan base and they can still get the most bang for their buck keeping it at $60. SO being a new IP might need a more enticing price to really get a healthy amount of sales.
Maybe, but at this point, most big Halo fans already own (or owned) the MCC collection...dropping the price might bring in more people who aren't the hardcore base.
They will need to do something to get people playing or bring people back if they game is ever truly fixed. We don't know how many people are still playing but its not in the top games played (according to the store) so thats probably not a great sign.
