Justice League The Snyder Cut

I've been watching it for a couple of hours now....
Feels like a bunch of pretentious trailers cut together (albeit with great music) with a few minutes of dialogue in between.
It's blurry.
I really dislike the overworked cgi on steppenewolf and cyborg, it's like injustice or mk costumes where the extra stuff just looks bad. Transformers movies did the same, why not just keep it simple?
The dialogue is lol.
The 4:3 ratio looks cramped, it actually looks like they pressed together a 16:9 movie, it looks bad tbh.
It's to dark and colorless, it's boring to look at. It looked fine in BvS but somehow looks s*** in this,
I see why they tried the red filter in Joshuas cut.
Lots of scenes are totally unnecessary, ie the bank scene already mentioned.
The cgi is hit and miss, more miss though.
Maybe it gets better....

The CGI is better in the second half especially that whole final battle thing. I think Steppenwolf looks much better this time, yeah the costume is over done and he still looks CGI but he looks more like an Alien and less like a human mutated into something else. The Amazon scene doesn't look completely bad like I thought it did just the parts where the cavalry comes toward the end of the scene.

Yeah I really liked Steppenwolfs look in this and he went from a joke to a really cool bad guy who was actually fleshed out this time.
The costume looked alien and liked the fact it adapted to the surrounding area to basically work like camouflage.

Hopefully we get the original Suicide Squad next

Even with the distracting aspect ration, some faults, and mixed cgi... I really enjoyed it. I’d like to see a sequel.
Snyder has said he's done with this stuff and wants to move on. Another director could step in i guess.

I would love to see this story finished up, Darkseid invading would be awesome if done properly. If they ever do a 4K blu ray I hope they also have a cut down version where the epilogue is completely gone (the joker added nothing, Heard's acting was terrible) and a lot of other scenes were cut down. The more I think about it Wolf is right they could probably cut this down to 3 hours and it wouldn't really suffer for it.

Lol this movie
There's so many illogical decisions and scenes that I can't wait for that youtuber that does movie sins to dissect this.
Still... There's some truly epic fight scenes in this, and MOS truly look fantastic again, not the scrawny Cavill with cgi lip.
And why didn't they use the flash dream sequence? Batman even mentioned it lol
Like others said, the second half of the movie is better, but there's so many lol scenes and dialogue that I definitely see why WB wanted it cut up lol
Like these scenes;
ww falling and trying to get to her sword, flash takes his time to run and knick it to her before she lands on the ground.... Why? She could just pick it up when she reached the bottom lol
the breaking in to get the motherbox in the lab, why flash cosplays as a soldier to get in with superman when he could just run in with him without anyone notice, or just speak to cyborgs dad, who even orders that no one else gets in after he meets them in the lab
the scene with martian manhunter, why fool Lois to think he is Martha? Did he foresee that MOS would be resurrected and needed her to get his memories back? Wouldn't it be better to just make real Martha meet up with Lois instead?

I will say, Whiney Fisher plays Cyborg... Really f***ing great! Sad that he is a privileged bitch irl and prob never will get a role again, would love a stand alone cyborg movie with him.

Like others have said in here the director of Aquaman would be a good choice for JL going forward.
James Wan, the director/writer behind the The Conjuring, SAW, and Insidious franchises

If he was involved, you could have the Justice League team up with the Warrens to fight Annabelle, The Nun, and Jigsaw. The franchise mashup no one on the planet ever asked for!

Enjoyed it and kinda surprised by the fact that I didn't remember much of the original (despite remembering that I enjoyed it back then as well).

I hope there is a way to work that out, he did an awesome job. I don't know why Whedon cut so much of his stuff out, some will blame race but he also cut a lot of Flash's scenes as well like the one with the job interview/Iris (which should have been left out of this Snyder cut as well) I don't know if Whedon was an ass to work for or not, it sounds like most of the cast wasn't happy with him and just tried to be good soldiers when going out and promoting the movie.

I have to say I didn't like Superman in black as much as I thought I would, the fact that they didn't give any reason for the change didn't help. I believe in the other stories the black suit helps absorb solar radiation so it helps him heal, it doesn't work with the cape either IMO. I hope if they do end up following this up that he goes back to the standard Blue and Red suit and cape.

Fisher is a whiney bitch, there's nothing that even remotely comes off as racist against Fisher in regards to Whedon, nothing, other than Fisher being black and got scenes cut (which Flash also had). Honestly, I'm guessing WB told Whedon to make it under 2h, it's not really possible to flesh all these characters out in that time frame... Honestly, 4h is barely enough imo.

For me, I feel like neither the Whedon or Snyder version works as a movie. I doubt it would have worked in another format either. The studio and producers that agreed to this up front should shoulder a massive amount of the blame.

We don't know what their experience was like working together, it sounds like a lot of people who worked for Whedon have problems with him, Gal Gadot said it wasn't great working with Whedon either and it seems like the rest of the cast is siding with Fisher.

I agree that WB likely told Whedon to cut the movie down, they were the ones that decided not to do individual movies for every character before JL came out so some character development was going to suffer, they put Snyder in a bad spot. The fact that they had Whedon cut the entire Darkseid storyline out shows they had no desire to continue with Snyder's vision after he left.

Yeah, WB didn't want to do Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg movies first like Marvel did with their cinematic universe, they just figured people knew enough about these characters already. In some ways I'm glad because if they had done Aquaman first they probably would have kept the Snyder art design and that sucks compared to what James Wan did in Aquaman, that movie benefited greatly from the colorful visuals as well as Wan doing a better job protecting Momoa and Heard by not asking them to do things in their performances that were out of their range, Snyder should be smacked for Heard's "accent" making it into JL lol.

I think the issue is WB asked the impossible of Snyder but he also didn't do the best job in performing the tasks that were asked of him. It was a bad situation all around and with so much hate on BvS WB probably figured they needed to cut ties with him.

That was one of the main "WTF!" moments for me, since I've seen Aquaman a few times (the 4K UHD disc is gorgeous in HDR). I didn't remember her having a British accent in this movie.

She's barely an actor to begin with, she's not very talented but she was fine as Mera in Aquaman, she was terrible in Snyder's JL, even Whedon didn't have her doing that accent.

One of the important changes Wan made to Aquaman was making it so they could speak underwater without the air bubbles, that was just a stupid idea. If they can breath underwater I'm sure they figured out how to speak, nobody should be focusing on realism when it comes to Aquaman lol.

I'll buy it in 4k. Hoping they also have a more traditional screen ratio version though.

Also any chance of the original cut of Suicide Squad have been shot down today by WB
