Yeah he filmed for IMAX without using actual IMAX cameras, he just wanted it to fill imax screens. He didn't actually use imax cameras though because they don't record sound.

The CGI is better in the second half especially that whole final battle thing. I think Steppenwolf looks much better this time, yeah the costume is over done and he still looks CGI but he looks more like an Alien and less like a human mutated into something else. The Amazon scene doesn't look completely bad like I thought it did just the parts where the cavalry comes toward the end of the scene.I've been watching it for a couple of hours now....
Feels like a bunch of pretentious trailers cut together (albeit with great music) with a few minutes of dialogue in between.
It's blurry.
I really dislike the overworked cgi on steppenewolf and cyborg, it's like injustice or mk costumes where the extra stuff just looks bad. Transformers movies did the same, why not just keep it simple?
The dialogue is lol.
The 4:3 ratio looks cramped, it actually looks like they pressed together a 16:9 movie, it looks bad tbh.
It's to dark and colorless, it's boring to look at. It looked fine in BvS but somehow looks s*** in this,
I see why they tried the red filter in Joshuas cut.
Lots of scenes are totally unnecessary, ie the bank scene already mentioned.
The cgi is hit and miss, more miss though.
Maybe it gets better....

Snyder has said he's done with this stuff and wants to move on. Another director could step in i guess.Even with the distracting aspect ration, some faults, and mixed cgi... I really enjoyed it. I’d like to see a sequel.
Like others have said in here the director of Aquaman would be a good choice for JL going forward.Snyder has said he's done with this stuff and wants to move on. Another director could step in i guess.
James Wan, the director/writer behind the The Conjuring, SAW, and Insidious franchisesLike others have said in here the director of Aquaman would be a good choice for JL going forward.
I hope there is a way to work that out, he did an awesome job. I don't know why Whedon cut so much of his stuff out, some will blame race but he also cut a lot of Flash's scenes as well like the one with the job interview/Iris (which should have been left out of this Snyder cut as well) I don't know if Whedon was an ass to work for or not, it sounds like most of the cast wasn't happy with him and just tried to be good soldiers when going out and promoting the movie.I will say, Whiney Fisher plays Cyborg... Really f***ing great! Sad that he is a privileged b**** irl and prob never will get a role again, would love a stand alone cyborg movie with him.
Fisher is a whiney bitch, there's nothing that even remotely comes off as racist against Fisher in regards to Whedon, nothing, other than Fisher being black and got scenes cut (which Flash also had). Honestly, I'm guessing WB told Whedon to make it under 2h, it's not really possible to flesh all these characters out in that time frame... Honestly, 4h is barely enough imo.I hope there is a way to work that out, he did an awesome job. We don't know what their experience was like working together, it sounds like a lot of people who worked for Whedon have problems with him, Gal Gadot said it wasn't great working with Whedon either and it seems like the rest of the cast is siding with Fisher.Fisher is a whiney b****, there's nothing that even remotely comes off as racist against Fisher in regards to Whedon, nothing, other than Fisher being black and got scenes cut (which Flash also had). Yeah, WB didn't want to do Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg movies first like Marvel did with their cinematic universe, they just figured people knew enough about these characters already. In some ways I'm glad because if they had done Aquaman first they probably would have kept the Snyder art design and that sucks compared to what James Wan did in Aquaman, that movie benefited greatly from the colorful visuals as well as Wan doing a better job protecting Momoa and Heard by not asking them to do things in their performances that were out of their range, Snyder should be smacked for Heard's "accent" making it into JL lol.For me, I feel like neither the Whedon or Snyder version works as a movie. I doubt it would have worked in another format either. The studio and producers that agreed to this up front should shoulder a massive amount of the blame.

She's barely an actor to begin with, she's not very talented but she was fine as Mera in Aquaman, she was terrible in Snyder's JL, even Whedon didn't have her doing that accent. That was one of the main "WTF!" moments for me, since I've seen Aquaman a few times (the 4K UHD disc is gorgeous in HDR). I didn't remember her having a British accent in this movie.
