Justice League The Snyder Cut

The CGI in the original release was some of the worst I've seen in a big budget movie, this looks fairly uneven as well but I think overall it will probably look better than the original release. The only shots I've seen in commercials that look terrible are the amazon's riding horses and a shot of cyborg looking at the camera with an obvious green screen image behind him.
That CGI to remove the moustache was absurdly bad.

Watched it last night, it is a lot better than the original but it has it's own set of problems. I don't blame the studio for not wanting to release his version of the movie because it had to be 4 hours long, I don't see where the cuts could have been made that wouldn't have hurt the film. The special effects are all over the map, Themyscira's entire sequence looks terrible but the stuff at the end with it's new color palette looks a lot better than the Whedon cut. That being said the first three quarters of this movie look very drab, Snyder clearly hates any color or pop and this aspect ratio is terrible IMO, it's too distracting having those huge gaps on the sides.

As far as the characters most of them benefit with the added time but this movie does really hurt some of the actors especially Amber Heard, they have her trying some fake accent and it's laughably bad and sadly they still made it so they needed those air pockets to talk underwater. I wonder what kind of JL movie James Wan could do?

The new story elements are a huge improvement over what we originally got, the stuff with Darkseid makes me want a sequel just to see that playout and Steppenwolf was a better villain in this version of the movie. It's worth watching, it is better than the one they gave us before but don't go in expecting perfection.

I seriously had been thinking people were joking when they said this is 4 hours long. I was surprised when I just looked at HBO Max.

Around 3:50 without thy end credits.

They could have probably got this to around 3 but guess Snyder just said f*** it

Hope my name is still on the credits.....? (Stunts Mike Lambert)
really want to watch this, but does anyone know when it’s available to buy please?

Sure it's listed for release in a month or 2 in some countries

I don't know what they could have cut other than a couple of very small scenes like Martha visiting Lois.

The epilogue for one which was all filmed in January.
The opening credits didn't need to be 10 minutes
The bank bomb scene although cool could have just been used at the end of the first WW film
Aquaman saving the guy on the boat
Could think of more

Nothing wrong with the scenes but could have been left out and not ruin the film them put them back in for the directors cut like they did BvS

The movie still would have been well over 3 hours even with those cuts though and I think some of them do make the movie better, I agree that aquaman scene could have been cut as well as the scene in the village where that woman was singing forever. I do wish they had done more VFX work in the first half of the movie, to me that's where the worst visuals are.

I know some will point at the RT score being 77 as meaning this isn't very good but the original release is at 40 on RT so this is a big step up.

Edit: I also think that Barry Allen job interview/meeting Iris scene could have been cut as it added nothing to the overall movie.

Just finished it. I thought it was a big step up from the theatrical cut. Many scenes like the village singing could have been left out and some others. Overall, the movie was good, some scenes almost had me emotional and the soundtrack played a big role. It's hard to ignore some of the bad CGI, but I am sure Snyder had to make do with the resources given to get this movie out finally. I would welcome a sequel. I'd hate to see this not get a sequel.

Yeah it should get a sequel, more Darkseid on the big screen would be a good thing. I don't know if I'd want Snyder to direct it though, James Wan did such a great job with Aquaman I'd like to see him get a shot at JL. He made a colorful world and protected his actors by having them do things that made them look good, Snyder seems to just try to fit round pegs into square holes. The fact that he had Amber Heard try that accent in this movie and left it in is a shame, she's not amazing as an actor anyway and he just highlighted that. I also don't like the way Snyder's movies keep losing color as they go, the first half of this movie was like 2 steps above black and white at times lol, it doesn't need to be so dreary.

So, still s***. Just twice as long.

The movie was very good, far better from the last one. Answered a lot of questions and so.e characters shined.

The end of the bank bomb scene was kind of funny. She has killed or incapacitated everyone, neutralized any danger from the bomb, and is just standing there with the last guy who is essentially unarmed. She could arrest him or just punch him, but instead she blows him up, along with entire side of the building, for essentially no reason.

He didn't actually use imax cameras though because they don't record sound.

No one knows. He's changed the screen ratio multiple times over the last few years

It looks blurry though
That's all due to his filtering/coloring choices. Some scenes are worse than others, he also uses a TON of green screen when he makes movies so some things may be blurred just to hide subpar effects work or it could just be for style.
