Nevada defines an act of terrorism as “any act that involves the use or attempted use of sabotage, coercion or violence which is intended to ... cause great bodily harm or death to the general population.”
Too broad of a definition. Terrorism is terrorism because of religious, political, or ideological motivation. Las Vegas, thus far, seems to be none of those.
Could just be he's another old guy in vegas and most never think twice...unless ya know "race", be it from either perspective.
That's probably part of it as well. He was also somewhat known since he would gamble thousands at a time so he may have been a regular so no one thought anything.
I don't know if Casinos on the strip do this, but I have heard of gambling events especially fundraisers or raffles that include rifles. I guess it's to draw in that redneck money.

I hate loud noises from motorbikes/cars and I'm assuming guns, but I'd be more worried if my neighbour was walking down the street with a silenced pistol strapped to their leg.
It's so sad that this has happened.
It's amazing how people come forward to help in a crisis though. It must have been terrifying to be in the middle of that crowd, being pushed, trampled, and suffocated by a mob trying to flee.

I forgot if it was Trevor Noah or Jordan Klepper, last night, but the skit on not wanting to talk about guns, but immediately wanting to talk about regulating checking into a hotel is just as idiotic.

I'm torn with that. I agree, completely, with glorifying it, but at the same time, I do think it should be discussed. I guess I agree with the not glorifying it, but we need to know why it happened, who carried it out, and then see how we can learn from it.

Hunters say that it helps muffle the sound of the shot so that they dont scare off their prey. However the NRA is arguing that silencers don't really do much to muffle the sound of a shot. So why the need for silencers? These idiots cant get their arguments straight.
Nothing will happen on improved gun control because even though the country is in favor of it the NRA has paid off the right people and has spread just enough propaganda about liberals wanting to take all your guns
I find it ridiculous that many professional people in somewhat important positions cannot show restraint on social media. It's like everyone is drunk dialing at 3 am! Good thing she was fired. Inexcusable .

Hunters already have an advantage of sneaking up on an animal and shooting them from far away, if they also need silencers than maybe they need to start bow hunting or find another hobby all together.
Yep, watch in 10 years well have cheap weaponized drones that can fly around, identify, track, and kill any animal while the "hunter" watches from their couch. Probably not a good idea to legalize that for obvious reasons.

What they are I'm not sure but that is for someone else to at least discuss. The problem is we can't ever have discussions on anything. Now isn't the time! (notice this is Republicans answer for everything) When is the time then to discuss mass shootings, climate change, racial inequality, etc? Unfortunately as others have stated, seeing our children's blood spilled in schools wasn't enough to make any changes so what the hell will this do?
