Looking to possibly add two mods.

on my site, when I was CM, I enabled a shop item that people could buy with virtual currency (earned for each post/thread) that allowed them to ban a mod for three days of their choosing...
get a list of names and we will vote. but I will miss andy, as he is older like me

Probably should be down to mods to vote though. They have more experience with most people on this site and can thus judge character easier.
We ran a community vote for junior mods on PSU at one point.. it was a train wreck. It created animosity, people were pissed, etc... it was clear that we couldn't do that again
We ran a member vote for mods at TXB once. It went well, in the sense that it was a real "feel good" thread, with people saying all kinds of nice things about each other. It wasn't very successful, though, because the mods/admins pretty much ignored it, although they had invited input. Actually, they did pick two people from that list, and Plainview was one of them.
Come to think of it, that was my thread, so that means you owe your mod/admin career to me, Plainview. You're welcome.
p.s. I should add that I'm joking about the last bit, in case anyone misunderstands, and that I'm just sharing about our TXB experience, not advocating for a member vote. That vote didn't produce great candidates, which is why I think it was justifiably ignored by the admins/mods at the time. Anyhow, as PV says below, the current selection model has already been discussed and chosen.

If I need to recommended, Starlight77 would be a good one for Xbox. Maybe Jinca or Naty for PS forum. I am sure there are other good candidates, but I post here if I think there are good ones to recommended. Menace-Uk can also be a good mod fo X1 I guess.

I have modded on several boards. I will say this. You people who have not been a mod on a poplar board before. Prepare. Its like being a umpire or referee. The only time you get noticed is for people problems and complaints. No "nice work". No parades. Just people complaining about you. Have fun. lol
On a serious note. Its best to just select mods in the background.. Never ask for help from members. Not once have I ever seen it go well. But Im sure this time is different. We are pretty mature here..

. It just seems the X1 threads seem over ran with Pro 4 members.I was of hear for two weeks. and the first thing I saw , was a post about the 4. Actual debating is one thing, but after the point of view is made, their is no longer the need. For two people to keep bringing up post after post. Taking two pages going from discussing/debating to arguing. Look at my post History. I don't think I have actually said anything bad about the 4, yet I bleed green.
Discussion is entirely different from just,stirring the pot. I really think that I can tell a difference.

Some good Xbox nominees were given for Xbox, Illiniguy would be one of the better candidates along with Menace, etc.. As for PS side, KongRudi would be a solid choice. Some would be bad choices that would cause more issue than tempering them.

Yes, definitely need an Xbox mod to weed the outrageous nonsense that goes on. People keep denying, but anti-MS is out of control.
Uhh that's the complete opposite of what usually happens on this forum.

Hmmm. I don't know.
There are or were a few Sony fans that posted almost exclusively in the X1 forum and rarely talk about games on either platform.
I think it's less frequent now because it probably got old even to them.
Nothing worse then a person who doesn't even play the consoles they always have a opinion about and none is more guilty then mc estaban.
Im just saying that normally Im on here alot,almost exclusivly on xbox threads. That is why I tend to notice it alot. I really think I would make a good X mod. If it comes to voting I know I wont win,so I vote for Astrograd,lol,No Flynn if he wants it.
Its a fine line between comparison to vs.
I see no harm in compairing consoles even on specific console thread. That's my point. I compared the hardrive on each on the X1 thread.
Still mad about that, E3 reversals, and now the Kinect, ummmm I better stop before I disqualify myself.
