Got PSN+ (I've had a PSN ID forever when I played Dust514). Picked up the psn+ free games and MLB which my friend gave me and DriveClub. I bought TLOU Remastered off Amazon for 15$, so I'll wait for that to show up.

Still not a fan of the controller, but eh, I'll pretty much play my FPS on my XBone and keep the action adventure games on ps4.

Is PSN really slow? It took almost 2hrs to download 3 games. I have 150/150 and my Xbone is way faster at downloading games.

Just FYI, the PS4 doesn't have 5GHZ wifi like the Xbox One and that can make a big different in fully utilizing your 150/150 pipe.
 
If your PSN downloads are slow

Then try setting the DNS as follows

Primary DNS 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS 8.8.4.4

I have never had any problems with dl speeds on PS4... usually it takes about 1 hour to download 30 GB's

Pretty sure DNS doesn't affect download speed.
 
are people saying their speeds are fine in UK?

cause i am and 95% of the time i get 6x less speed then i should (6,000kb/s should be mine, if i am lucky i get 1,000kb/s). sometimes i get what i should but its very rare
 
It does a lot more... ISPs with s***ty DNS is usually the culprit when it comes to PSN... go ahead... give it a try.

Placebo effect, all DNS does is resolve host names to IP address, will not affect bandwidth.

Oh really!? just downloaded Daylight for the hell of it....

B4 DNS Change : 24 minutes... after DNS change: 6 minutes... it never fails... placebo effect my arse ;)

I have it configured on my router for Google's DNS. Not a big deal, just annoying.

Uh, no.

Thats not how DNS works.

I have everything routed the way its supposed to be. DNS configured on a router or my DNS server is the same as its on the device itself.

I have to add, setting my DNS on my devices to Google's improves stability somewhat.

My ISP's DNS sometimes messes up.
 
I've never had a problem with download speeds on the PS4. It's lightning fast. On the X1.. i could take a nap and it would still be going when i wake up.
 
Hey guys! Been a long time I haven't seen you all. :) Within the next few days (or possible tomorrow, depending on all plans go smooth), I'll be finally getting PS4! I am very exciting about that. The first game I will get is Destiny The Taken King game. Even though I already own Destiny on PS3, I've decided that I wanted to move on to the next level.

I picked up a new Uncharted bundle my buddy wanted a PS4 but did not have the cash for what they were charging for even a used one. So I sold him mine for a fair price and paid the dif and got a new PS4, win win.

why did you buy a new PS4? does the uncharted bundle have a different design?
