Official Thread New PS4 Owners Thread

19K for the bundle and 2 year warranty. Also, so many used games for 1k - 1.5k each. My wife was so happy but by the time we got home something changed. She's upstairs being a grumpy ass, lol. Oh well. :)

When I got mine I turned if on and off repeatedly just to see the line of light turn from blue to white and dance across the middle of the console.
I still think that is fooking awesome! Everytime I turn on my PS4 I'm awed by it.
 
Only issue I have with mine is messaging and dash board lag.
Really hope 2.0 fixes things!

going into safe mode and selecting "rebuilding database" seems to have sped up my friends/messages/notifications tenfold. previously it would literally take 10+ minutes for them to load, if they loaded at all, but now things are pretty zippy

Does it erase anything? Or is it kind of like defragging a comp?

i was told that it doesnt delete a thing, and thats how it appears to me after doing it. may want to google it to get your own assurances though

welcome to the world of woman f*** I can make a joke my wife will laugh I make the same joke 10 mins later she gets pissed about it. One min she is fine then she is sitting there all pissy for no reason 5 mins later.
 
I thought for sure that I had a hardware issue with my disk drive since it wouldn't read the disks and even said that there was no disk in the drive.

Luckily the nice Sony rep talked me through the reboot and data rebuild. That fixed it.

Thank God. I didn't want to ship my console out.

Yeah, I think it's a good idea to rebuild database. It made my PS4 a lot more zippy.

My PS4 won't read disks again. Never had so many issues with a console.

Rebooted and rebuilt database didn't work this time.:txbmad:

Hope you get it resolved. Have you send it for repair under warranty?

Dragon Age Inquisition is the game that made me go out for a next gen console.

Sorry for the poor image quality. Taken with Iphone 5.

I saw a decent deal, Singstar bundle (which I do not care about) with Assassin Creed Unity thrown in for 399€. So I bought it with Dragon Age Inquisition. This is my Sony Console since the PS2.

I lost my receipt and my purchase history only goes to Nov 30th 2013 on Gamestop.com. And Sony requires proof of purchase for repairs.

Not sure what to do. Sony's already shipped the box.
 
I have a receipt box where I keep all the receipts to prevent such issue. Hopefully Sony will not charge you for this.

I had my Power Rewards card renewed after I puchased the PS4 on launch day. Surely GS should have my purchase on record.

I wonder if I could get the proof of purchase date from my credit card company?

Just got ps4 today! I got the gta and last of us bundle. Also have psn plus. Name is Jay_Nova_

Downloads are pretty damn slow. Ita gonna take me 20 hours to dow load 43 gigs on a 60mbps pipe. Yeesh.
