Nintendo Super Thread of General Discussion

A 2d Castlevania game from Retro would rock no doubt but if we dont get a Metroid fix this year or next I may check myself into Betty Ford :)

Willing to bet Wayforward could knock out a 2d Castlevania or Metroid game and stay true to the originals.
We are fans of Nintendo, we can have our cake, and eat it too. They can have a new team work on Metroid, for some fresh ideas. Doesn't have to be full first person 3D, could just as well be a hybrid of 2D and 3D. I can understand who to Retro the Trilogy is done and over. But then I am all for Nintendo strengthening their internal teams further so we have more first party games coming in, once you have the games, the rest will follow... including third party wanting in on the action.

Nintendo just needs to be smart and make Platinum their Second party, Platinum has expressed interest in that several times :).

A Platinum developed Star Fox could be epic ! Could just imagine what the ground combat would be like :bang: No to mention a possibly playing Vanquish on the WiiU or maybe a sequel. HD version of Madworld

Rather have Wonderful 101 though, but than I'm the kind that loves Rainbows, over the top and just absolute marvellously fabulous Wonderful heroes ;).

Man I've been playing NES Remix again. When I'm in the mood for this game, it's perfect. Can't wait for the sequel!

I truly despise Donkey Kong Jr and Golf, probably because I never played them before and suck.

Haven't played that in a long time. Just been too busy with other games right now. :(

Good going with the sub forum Anderson. Long overdue.

You're welcome.

Thanks to everyone who voted in that poll, btw. That is what did the trick. I was arguing for it behind the scenes, but that wouldn't have done much by itself, if Plainview didn't see the poll results weigh so heavily in our direction.

Btw, if anyone wants me to pull a set of posts (on a particular topic) out of the Super Thread of General Discussion and create a new, separate thread for it, just let me know, and I'll do that. I have the sense that pretty much everything has gotten crammed into this thread. Breaking out the discussion into separate threads might help to flesh out the subforum a little.

I'd like to believe my Super Thread laid the groundwork to get us our own sub forum.

May be true. It helped to hold the Nintendo faithful together while they were on the stormy seas of the MP forum.

Perfect title, too.

Rampage! I used to rent that game every weekend from Electric Video, my local video store. Lol I did that with lots of games, it's nice being able to buy them.

Interesting video. I follow this guy on YouTube because we have similar taste in games. He kind of justifies owning Nintendo systems.

The reason for why is very simple:
A bunch of nitwits feel encroached on their sexuality, a minor group.
A bunch of nitwits are just huge fanboys, a larger group.
And the biggest.... worst of them all...

The self entitled, male with a persecution complex:
They believe everything should be for them or it isn't a "true <x>". They also ruined normal sports with a competitiveness that makes it impossible for me to even remotely enjoy things like Football (American or Domestic ;)). They feel the Wii U took something from them. They feel the Kinect took something from them and is forced on them (even though they do not have to buy a Xbox One). They feel that the Touchscreen controls with a Wii U is forced upon them and takes things from them.

Notice the pattern, it is always "taking from them" never "adding too". They are the fathers that go "MY CONSOLE!" to a child, the egocentrical person that only believes in his own fun and can't have fun unless he ruins yours. Sadly they get rewarded in current culture. From MOBA games to FPS, from WOW and its 15 minute battles/dungeons until Starcraft 2. Where a Tyranid player shakes hands with an Eldar Player (me ;)) on a Warhammer 40k competition after winning or losing, in current electronic gaming it is to be teabagged and made fun of. To spit on an Alliance player or Horde player.. and to only care for your own.

Heck Gaming is not just electronic, Warhammer and board games where already called "Gaming" long before we had consoles in our houses. Yet if you ask this kind of "gamer" about these games, he will slag it off. Unless you play in constant competition and badmouth people for not playing well enough on your team.. in their mind.... you are taking something from them and they WILL throw a tantrum.

Sometimes Pikmin 3 can really piss me off. The controls make it harder than it should be especially during boss fights.

Yoshi's New Island this week. I am passing for now, however.

Nintendo's new development building.

No Kaz you cannot lease any space here :)
Kaz probably would be too busy recording Youtube videos of handing over game boxes to each other. I do love those Solar Panels, very ... Wonderful 101 of them ;).

Club Nintendo adds accessory box, pouches, eShop games to catalog

ClubNintendoAccessoryBoxGreen.jpg

Club Nintendo is offering new rewards for loyal customers, namely the sort of rewards you put other items in. Those with 700 free coins can pick up a green Mario-themed accessory basket that measures just under a foot wide. Don't be fooled by the name, as Nintendo can't stop the rebels among us from putting anything other than accessories in the basket, like cats. Or other, smaller baskets.

Club Nintendo's two other new physical rewards are Animal Crossing-themed pouches. Available in both pink and blue, the pouches store handheld systems as large as the 3DS XL for 500 coins. We're eyeing up one of the pouches to store candy instead, because Nintendon't tell us what to do.

As for the loyalty program's featured eShop game downloads, players can pick between four games until April 6: Kid Icarus of Myths and Monsters on 3DS (150 coins), Number Battle on 3DS (200 coins), Yoshi on Wii U (200 coins) and Bonsai Barber on WiiWare (250 coins).
