That's exactly it. CQ 64 players on consoles is gonna probably be fun but it'll be hit or miss because I'm willing to bet a majority of the time it will be treated as a glorified deathmatch game.
At the end of the day, BF4 could have shipped with 64 player team deathmatch as the only mode on consoles and it would be eaten up by the console kiddies.
I think the servers will improve once both these next-gen launches are out of the way & they get the first DLC out. Then they will have some time to work on stuff before the holidays. I think DICE will be pushing it more than EA though, EA really doesn't give a f*ck about it's customers unless it helps them monetarily.
Game is a f*cking mess, it's nearly unplayable. You get disconnected from every match, conquest Mose doesn't work and the SP save files get deleted when you get the network error code thing. Same thing is happening on the bone too. F*CK you EA and DICE. F*CK you very much.
Yeah, but nowhere near as bad as on console. Hell, pc version at release at least had conquest and rush playable.
Yeah, Dice screwed up their own servers with their server update this week. I haven't been able to play rush since. Played an entire match of obliteration until it dumped everyone at the end, which was a bummer as I'd gotten a Javelin kill on a jet ski carrying the bomb holder and a driver, and had my first boat kill with the Slam.
Domination is running flawlessly at least, but I'd like to use some freaking vehicles.
Yep, live streamers are getting booted and such. Conquest doesn't work either.
I literally can't play any mode for more than 5 minutes without getting disconnected. I'd play SP, but my game was reset and I really don't want to start over, it's not that good.
There were a few comments about that in a review for PS4 version. I wonder how other console versions will fare.
It's the influx of COD players.
BF3, at least when I started playing it mid last year, had over 50% that PTFO. Once that humble bundle hit that went down to about 20%. Now in BF4 it's maybe 25%. On BF4 it has to do with several factors. The main one is the influx of COD rejects that only care about KDR (when in BF it's all about SPM) as well as veteran players trying to solidify a good KDR with the mindset of raising their SPM later as it's much easier to raise than KDR.
Funny enough, even on PC I have to chase support players all over the place spamming "I NEED AMMO" at them. I even type into team chat "THROW DOWN SOME F*CKING AMMO SUPPORT PLAYERS". It was this way in BF3 as well.
GAF is reporting EA's servers are now up and running on both consoles today, including 64 player matches. I'm at work, anyone here confirm?

I think I'm going to go for BF4 and Forza with the Xbox One or Battlefield on the PS4 and Forza only on the Xbox One.
If I'm not mistaken Battlefield runs better on the PS4?
Some settings that I changed to full. I forgot what they were called. It could be a placebo effect, but in conquest, the game looks awesome.
I put whatever I could to full. I don't know, I wouldn't say blacks are "crushing", but everything does look better. It doesn't even "appear" to have jaggies anymore.
those setting cannot change your jaggies, the only thing those change is the black level and as i said its likely you are crushing blacks and at a glance it does look better but you are losing alot of detail in darker areas.

I also set my PS4 to be 1080p, I don't recall what it was at though.
I played some more....don't know, again, could be placebo, but it looks pc quality now.
It has been this way for many versions and as more and more CODuals jump on board the downward spiral will continue.
EA could fix it by de-emphasizing anything to do with kills and not track them at all but since their character progression is tied to earning points from kills they would have to rethink how leveling up works. Frankly, I think any kind of drip feed unlockable system is bullocks so I wouldn't be heart broken if they did away with any of the progression to open weapons crap. But I guess there are a lot of rabbits out there that need that carrot dangled in front of them instead of just letting the gameplay be the reward.
quick question on that. I was PC player for years before I switched to console but still play on a computer monitor. Because of that should my rgb settings be set to full range on my Xbox one? Also this is a pretty new Samsung 27 inch led monitor that also has a low level black setting and normal. Under display settings .
