I still get lag in almost every match and get booted. Sooooo frustrating. I was playing conquest last night and had 12,000pts while going 36-2 and it booted me. F*ck this game.
Give it a week or so, man. Don't give up on it. Also, try going into your Options under Gameplay & change the Network Smoothing Factor to 10%. That's what most people play on. I know it won't help with getting dropped that much, but it does make the game play slightly better when it feels like the enemy's bullets are all hitting you at once.

Banderas sniping on the X1 version...

No problems with BF4 on the X1 front. Smooth as buttah. Getting into games is faster than I thought it would be, since I remember the 360 MoH and BF lobbies which were painful.

Anyone played on the Rogue Transmission map and had the satellite just disappear? It was definitely a graphical glitch but it made me worry if my console was screwed.

Keep it up Yoy! Only about 20 more active threads for you to spread your anti-MS posts. But hey, as pixelly as your GIF looks, at least X1's BF4 works. lol

Oh come on Intelli where's your sense of humor. Lost in the noise of a sharpness filter? PS4 version works as well as the X1 version btw. Looks and performs better too.

So I got the bf4 corrupt save file. I was about 3-4 hours in. What a bummer. Probably wait till they patch it up before I start the sp campaign again.

So is the Second Assault DLC pack available? I know its included with Premium but I thought it was meant to be available to buy seperately for xbox one players also? I checked the Dice/EA store a couple of times and only Premium was for sale.

premium gets DLC 2 weeks early i believe so no it wouldnt be out for non-premium members

This is just a short update to let you know that we have heard your feedback on the lack of a squad join feature. While there currently are no plans to include a lobby feature in Battlefield 4, we are listening to you and evaluating our options. In the end, we want to make sure you have a great experience.

Instead of building upon what we had in Battlefield 3, we took a new approach where you are able to quickly and easily find and join friends already playing, or invite them to an ongoing game. You can invite friends either in the Multiplayer menu, or by bringing up the new in-game Battlelog by pressing the Back/Select button.

Some of the feedback that we’ve seen from you is that server slots may get filled up by other players before your friends can join. We understand that this can be frustrating. To avoid this, please make sure that you’re playing on a server that has enough free slots.

If you wish a new squad to be formed when a friend joins your game, you can set this option in the options menu. If you want to be in total control over the team setup, then you can turn this feature off. Once a squad has been created, squad leaders can also make the squad private so that only invited players can join.

Improving the stability of the game and fixing bugs is our priority right now, but we wanted to let you know: we are listening and your feedback is appreciated.

Now how in the hell did this get adopted during the design phase of this game? They want to compete for the shooter space against COD yet they completely leave out one of the most crucial elements of game design, a lobby to gather friends and join games together....

Dear oh dear. How can a good lobby system not be considered critical for a multiplayer game, especially one as big as Battlefield. It's a painful mess trying to organize a game with anything more than 2 players. It's a ridiculous design choice. I really hope it's fixed up.

Part of me thinks the reason they left it out is because of the Xbox One parties. Someone needs to create an Xbox One party and invite four friends for a total of five people and join a server and see if the party is automatically brought along.

Yes, it does work, but not all the time. If you start a party with the intention of playing Battlefield with your friends, make sure only people playing Battlefield are in the lobby. Otherwise you'll confuse 'Smart' match. The best way to get everyone in together is to have any players to currently playing back out to the battlefield main menu and then invite everyone to the game party. It's cumbersome, but it's worked for me with 4+ players. When everyone has battlefield loaded and is in the party, one person searches and it should bring everyone in. If you want to join a match in progress, the Quick match menu will show you the lobbies your friends are in (just the lobby, you won't see any gamertag so if there are more than you, someone in the lobby can tell you what map and mode they are playing). Again, very cumbersome, but it worked for me and my buddies. Any time someone dropped, that's how we got them back in.

Honestly, how can Dice think this is an improvement??

The wife and I played Conquest for about 4 hours last night and had a blast! We only had 1 crash (she crashed back to the main menu, I didn't) the entire time playing. This was our first time putting some quality minutes into Conquest and I must say.....it was awesome. We chose to mostly set up shop at one of the points and defend it, as we are still in the learning stages of the game. Game ran pretty smooth. There were some moments of obvious drops in frames. This was really noticeable at the middle control points where the majority of the two teams collided. Operation Locker was really bad. With that said, the pure scale of this game is just amazing. I found myself on multiple occasions just admiring the scenery around me.

I was discussing this issue with my friend and I now think it's also something to do with auto-balance with the teams.

Lets take a scenario of 12 v 12. You see a server on the list that shows enough slots for you and your four friends. If there were a create a squad option/lobby pre-game, you'd join the game that obviously has enough slots open right? Well, just because there's 19 of 24 slots available doesn't mean there's five open slots on a single side...if there were, that would be a huge imbalance of the teams.

DICE simply doesn't want to put forth the effort to create a system that works around that. This is why in BF3 you would join a game with a squad and there was always a split, and it splits because it tries to keep the teams balanced.

I'm assuming DICE said to hell with it and just scrapped the entire lobby/create a squad option and said, join in progress or join a complete empty server and go from there.

It's still no excuse though.

Oh I agree completely. I usually play Battlefield with at least 3 other friends. Normally we can swap sides quick enough to get ourselves on one side, especially when compared to BF3 where the swap sides thing hardly ever worked. Playing Conquest Large obviously makes this a bit easier.

:smash: How bout you just create a lobby? It shouldn't have to be a logistical nightmare to squad up w/friends. It's stupidity like this that will keep BF from ever dethroning COD...

Second Assault has been out since day one on Xbox One. It's the only platform it's out on currently I believe. It has two week exclusivity.

Make sure you upgraded your Premium on Xbox One. Then look at all add-ons for BF4 by pressing "Start" on it & "Show all add-ons" or you can go to the EA Store inside BF4, then go to "Show All" at the bottom. Sometimes it doesn't show up for people, but you just have to restart your box.

I've been playing it, but there's usually only a couple servers because of all the crashes & not everybody has Premium/there's honestly not that many Xbox One's out there when you count they are across the world, not everybody's on at once, & not everybody's playing BF4. Metro is a ton of fun of course. Oman the sandstorm is amazing. I like Caspian the least for some reason. I don't like the look of it, it looks poor to me, the trees/gritiness isn't as sharp as the other maps.

I played a few rounds of conquest last night, man does the larger player count make a huge difference. I've only played BF games on consoles in the past and having this many people in the game makes it much more fun.

Going to give BF4 another whirl now. I'm hoping Unranked servers pop up so I can test out playing against people without stat effect. When I tried yesterday, unranked servers come up blank. And I was searching for just any unranked servers no matter what mode or player filters are set.

I must be blind, where does it say how many kills/deaths and wins/losses I have? In the Battlelog stat tab it shows Time Played, Score, Win %, Score/Min, Kills/Min, K/D ratio.

I'm looking to see absolute number of kills, deaths, wins and losses.

click on where you see those things and it will take you to a more detailed breakdown of your stats

This isn't COD, dudebro.

This is Battlefield, where PTFO matters. As such:

Score per minute >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> W/L > KDR > Accuracy.

Sounds good. I think my w/l 5-1. Capped some flags running around as a lone wolf while everyone else was messing around sniping from rooftops and playing tanks wars. lol

i am high on all those things.. GOML

Anyone else having weird audio glitches? The sound cuts out in certain areas and all I hear are gunshots and nothing else. Happens to a few of my friends quite a bit too. It's extremely annoying.

The sound completely went silent for about 10 seconds when I played MP. But then it returned as normal. Never had an audio glitch like that in any shooter I've played.
