I played 4 matches in a row last night without a disconnect. Woo! My god the spawns in TDM and Squad DM are horrid.
I've been playing Squad Deathmatch a lot on 360 because I found I actually really enjoyed it & yeah, you're right...the spawns are TERRIBLE in there. It's like it spawns you in zones when you spawn random & it can spawn you at C flag Dom for instance even if there's eight other people there! Amazing developers can't figure out spawns still...or maybe they just don't care.
How the hell do you unlock the RDS? I HATE the Kobra Sight with a passion. I don't see a level requirement for RDS it just says i need to have battlepack. You're telling me i will never unlock it unless i get this battlepack sh!t?
Game needs me to get used to it. Since the starting guns are terrible i really need to adapt to it.
I'm guessing the server/corrupt save data issue is now resolved? Can i FINALLY play some SP without worrying about losing my save? Didn't notice a patch but they must have done something.

Battlepacks are easy to get. If you don't get the sight you want from a leveling battlepack then you'll get them like every 50 kills or so but those are specific to the weapon. So you'll get the sights eventually. BTW, what's wrong with the kobra? It has a much larger view area than traditional RDS and a much easier to track "dot". BTW, the sight you really want is the coyote, it has an even better view area with smaller hardware so you can see more of your surroundings than with a traditional RDS. IMO traditional RDS is crap, even holo 1x is better.
yes the game has jaggies on X1 but it still looks so good, i loved BF4 on x360 and this is on another level. i just got the second assualt DLC but its 4:30am here so i am gonna sleep, cant wait to get stuck into the new operation metro xD
It tells you when you look at at each item on the bottom right what you need to do to unlock the next thing. It's not that long, only like 10 kills between attachments. Play some Domination or Squad Deathmatch to unlock stuff faster. The Battlepacks come pretty often, each couple ranks or every rank later on. Also, once you use a gun enough, you start getting a Battlepack for every gun specifically. So say you have everything unlocked on a gun that you possibly could minus that Battlepack stuff, that's only going to be like 150 kills with that gun, then you have the Battlepack stuff left. Every 50 kills or so after that you get a Battlepack for that gun with 5 items in it, so you have everything pretty quickly. Once you have those 150 kills, it's usually only 2-3 more Battlepacks for that gun & you have everything you want.
P.S. the Kobra Sight is actually one of the best types of red dot type sights because it has the fastest aim down sights of all of them. It's basically like how Sleight of Hand Pro used to be.
I never liked it. I can never get used to anything else than a small tiny red dot as the crossheirs. I just can't focus with anything else.

I got an X1 today and picked up CoD and BF. As a longtime CoD gamer, I hope BF4 is as good as I think it is. That 60 fps will help a lot as I'm a frame rate stickler.
Anyone else playing on PC getting more crashes today? I mean client crashes. I can't manage to go more than 2 rounds without a crash. Last night I must have played a dozen rounds with maybe 2 crashes, if that.
Yeah, the framerate drops a bit. It goes below 30 on Gulf Of Oman for instance once the big sandstorm comes in. It's still pretty solid.
I'm having a very hard time getting used to this game on the Xbox One controller. Every other game works great, but I have long fingers & I notice it in Battlefield. The triggers are way under my fingers now. It's very hard to aim & shoot. Wish I could bring my 360 controller to Xbox One. (everything else about the controller is great, just Battlefield feels weird because you have to be a lot more precise)

I was 22 and 3 on a 64 player conquest server on Siege of Shanghai, destroying fools with my tank. I'd taken out 4 or 5 other tanks in the match, 1 attack boat, 1 attack heli, and numerous infantry. Protecting two different flags, while unloading on a third flag from the other side of the Was having a blast, probably my best tanking rounds since the game launched, and the game crashed to the dashboard, and I lost all my stats and progress in the match. Such a bummer, it was such a cool round.

For that COD feel and To get the movement speed down and unlock a few things...
I'll be doing impressions later tonight. I'm in process of messing with the UI, downloading all the free apps, Kinect Rivals, KI and then have to install these god awful BR discs. I probably won't be gaming for another hour or so. Depends how fast installing these BR discs are. I think CoD and BF are 40gb each!
I think BF has some kind of training mode too. I'm going to dabble with that first so I can know how to pilot helis and jets.
Played a few games. Game plays mostly very smooth which is a big bonus from 360's grainy choppy gameplay. Will take getting used to the BF mechanics. I'm used to 3 bullet kills, but it seems in BF you have to sink a few extra bullets into someone to ensure a kill before focusing attention on another enemy. Only played a few maps. Operation Locker is sure small.
I still get lag in almost every match and get booted. Sooooo frustrating. I was playing conquest last night and had 12,000pts while going 36-2 and it booted me. F*ck this game.
Which version? The PS4 version seems to have improved dramatically the last 2 days. I couldn't even make the battlelog crash when I tried.

PS4 version. I chatted with Comcast last night about my connection. They ran some tests on my modem and said the connection should be "stronger and clearer" now. Maybe it was on my end, but damn this game has been frustrating.
Not sure if it was mentioned, but the default 50% brightness video setting in the game makes everything a bit too bright. When you turn it down to around 30% (which I'm using right now), then the contrast improves. Anyone try playing around with the brightness setting?
