Sometimes, I miss PGR --- you know for the city like environments... but I guess this will have to do.
Still not sure if this will be my launch game or if I'll give Battlefield a shot
I played the first 3 Forza's but skipped the last one, haven't played it at all. But I couldn't help notice that there's a billion add-on packs for FM4, if 5 is gonna have that much add-on stuff, I just think it's too much especially when FM4 never seemed to fall in price much and then you're expected to buy all this DLC.
I like Forza a lot but damn would I prefer a Rallisport Challenge (oh I wish, will never happen) or even a PGR minus motorbikes. Just too much DLC milkage with FM4 put me off.
Gameplay from TGS:
I got to play this real quick at an Xbox One event, it was all set up with easy settings on. Really solid with the new controllers though, way to quick of a demo to judge but looked good and I settled in quickly.
Did it look any different than Forza 4 graphically? Forza 4 was already the graphics leader in racing, so it's hard to see that look even better!
Yeah I've been playing a lot of 4 and Horizon, and it definitely looked noticeably better played in cockpit for most of it, then third person/car for a bit. More detail/resolution everywhere, and the lighting was nice. It ran really smooth, felt more responsive then 4 somehow, but would need to play at home to be sure on that.
Me too, but I'd really like to see more. It's out in 8 weeks and I feel like I really haven't seen much at all, especially direct feed gameplay. I would like to see some more tracks, and other aspects of the game.I'm getting more and more excited for this day by day.
I'm sure the game's quality is fine. We just had the usual suspects in the PS forum so I figured I'd have some fun in that other thread to rustle some jimmies.Sadly all you get at these events is people playing games very poorly.
Holding off on this for now but not seeing the supposed downgrade some are claiming?
I'm just glad that it already feels really polished in the user previews. That's what I like about turn 10, they are developer that polishes their games and they feel super solid, none of this "target" spec stuff, it just is what they say.

that might be a little of an exaggeration for a dev studio that has made exactly 6 games, in the same genre, all on the same platform.I agree, Turn 10 is one of the best if not best developers out there.
Judging by their attention to detail, and who the team is comprised of, I still give them the "team to beat". Their efficiency with outsourcing with still a strict quality requirement shows just how dedicated they are.that might be a little of an exaggeration for a dev studio that has made exactly 6 games, in the same genre, all on the same platform.

couldn't you say the same about bungie? Until Halo were they really that well recognized?
absolutely. Are/were Bungie and Turn10 great devs? yup. The best devs out there? Nope.couldn't you say the same about bungie? Until Halo were they really that well recognized?
