Has anyone else been keeping track of XBox Lives most played games? For a while there it looked like PUBG was climbing on XBox. Sometimes grabbing the 4th or 3rd spot. The past few weeks though it appears to be slipping. Hopefully they get some meaningful updates out to grab the player base back.

That is my biggest fear, by the time the updates comes out it will be too late.

Are you lost? This isn’t the Fortnite thread.

Looks like I made a mistake. My bad everyone. PUBG is indeed number 2 on XBox right now. I'll keep better track in the future.

Worst attempt at trolling I’ve seen in awhile.

No. Mistakes can be made. When I Google "XBox Live most played games" the following link pops up as the second listing.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/sto...xenhanced,,numberofplayers,,coopsupportonline

For some reason, it has all these filters automatically switched on. Fortnite was still at the one spot so I assumed the list was legit.

As Sigmund Freud once said "Sometimes a post about PUBG is just a post about PUBG". Although, I see how sensative some of you are now. I'll do better in the future.

I’m glad you take time for us Battle Royal peasants. I’m surprised you have the time to come to this thread. One of the greatest games ever steals most of your waking hours. Nice to know you still will always have PUBG on your mind.

The game is number 2 right now as I post this which means it has slowly worked its way up......bluehole should feel lucky right now as the game performance doesn’t diserve it.

They still need to get their s*** together in my opinion but I can’t stop playing it either.

They need to add a xp/leveling system in my opinion.

Okay, I feel like I'm the one taking crazy pills here. Quick hearing test, be honest, can you guy hear the bullet direction and footstep direction in these clips?

You guys can't hear the directions of the footsteps here?

Just before I land you see a guy landing about 100m to my left and then when I land you see the guy in front of me running. You can obviously hear his footsteps in the mid to mid-right channel initially and then it trails off to the right... then you can hear him to the left of me thinking he's slick and has the drop and then right before I enter you can hear him behind me and he takes the bait and gets knuckled up. You can hear the gunshots coming from the guy that we initially observed landing 100m of me killing someone the entire time, with bullet sounds coming from the correct direction.

How about this one?

To start off, I wasn't accidentally running in the intial direction of the first person I attack, I heard him land outside of the building in a spot that you literally cannot even see from my position and start running towards the west entrance of the building, all tracked by sound. As the clip starts it shows me running towards his direction. You can hear the people above me with the slightly muffled metallic sound, that means he's right above me, you can hear him making his way to the eastern side of the building throughout the entire clip. After I stab the hell out of the second person I attack, you hear the guy above me getting even more muffled as he gets towards the roof landing area.

Example 3.

From the moment you hear the glass break as he jumps out of the window, you can hear the direction of his footsteps perfectly up until he comes crashing through the window to revive, you can even notice that I'm turning my character towards the direction I hear him coming from. I'll admit it, I mainly forced this one in here because it was a f***ing hilarious bug (reported it) but still works as a decent example.

Bullet direction example.

This is the best directional audio example IMO, this one is my brother playing (on regular Xbox One S on a 720p TV with speaker audio no less) and it wasn't recorded so much because of the kills but because of the hilarity of the shooting by the people he's killing and it's almost purely an audio directional placement example which makes it funny. You can pinpoint the direction of all 4 players based on foot movement and the direction the bullet sound comes from, I know because I called out every single one of them to him while he was playing and it doesn't show the full thing but he does end up killing all four.

From the rip we hear players running up to the house, only house with a door open so they know he's inside
:
1) the guy taking the the shot in the beginning from the south east corner of the house, notice my brother turns to orient himself towards that sound immediately bullet sound is perfect.
2) As he adjusts I make two callouts besides the obvious south east guy, who's footsteps you can hear coming from the left audio channel. "guy coming up from behind and another guy towards your right corner of the house"... then your hear the guy to the left ready his grenade and then the guy from behind open the .
3) Just before he's jumping down the guy that was to his left starts running after grenading and that is the first guy he guns down.
4) We now hear mysterious guy #4 which is the reason why I recorded this... you don't see him in the clip at all but you can hear his location is clearly just outside of his sight to the left. This dude potato aims the f*** out of my brother, missing an entire clip while the first guy is downed and then sent to lobby; then you hear him switch to another weapon and proceed to miss that entire clip as the second guy is downed, and you can hear the guy that approached the house from behind shooting as well and you can actually see him for a split second missing shots standing at the front door as the second guy is sent to lobby... dude #4 still whiffing shot after shot as he rounds the corner.

He actually ended up killing all of them but I forgot to record it. Guy that was in the house potato aimed his way around that right corner my brother was facing at the end of the clip. Guy #4, whiffs another full clip as my brother starts looting and obviously dies like he wanted to from the start, lol

................................

Am I crazy here or ...?

The linear direction isn't the problem. It's the 3d location like above or below. It all seems to come from the same level. It's just not as good as other games

They need to add surround sound and/or Dolby Atmos for it to be comparable to other games.

I'm actually amazed it works as well as it does considering this game only outputs 2-speaker stereo.

Hi folks,

As of tomorrow, Patch #12 will hit live servers. This time around we’ve got some crucial bug fixes and optimizations for various parts of the game.

Optimization and Stabilization
  • Partially optimized the vehicle system. The dust effect caused by friction with the ground during driving has especially been optimized, and the vehicle system has been improved in part.

  • Fixed a problem with voice chat that caused some crashes.

  • Grass objects in Erangel have been optimized and will continue to be optimized going forward.
Gameplay

  • Fixed a serious bug that caused vehicles to flip or get airtime for no reason. This includes the three-wheel bike.

  • Fixed an issue where under certain circumstances the character would be upside down or seated in a strange position when moving seats while riding in vehicles.

  • Player will receive more damage in a vehicle collision. The heavier the vehicle, the greater the damage inflicted upon the player. Also, players are now more likely to die or be knocked out when colliding with a vehicle running at high speed.

  • The vehicle passenger will receive more damage when the vehicle crashes into an obstacle like a wall or tree. When crashing into something at high speed on a smaller vehicle, such as a motorcycle, the player will take much more damage.

  • Fixed issue causing the 4x scope to be excessively reflective.
UI/UX

  • Fixed issue causing certain UI layouts not being properly aligned.

  • Fixed issue of buttons bound to the UI(map, inventory etc.) affecting vehicle operation.

  • Fixed issue of equipment icons not shown properly on the HUD.

  • Fixed issue of LT, RT scrolling not working in the inventory when using controller preset B.

  • Fixed issue of excessive acceleration when the stick is tilted more than a certain angle depending on the R stick acceleration setting.

  • Fixed issue of team member indicators incorrectly showing on the plane
Other Bug Fixes

  • Removed collision of discarded magazine on the floor after reloading.

  • Fixed a cosmetic bug that occurred when characters wore certain clothing or shoes.

  • Fixed issue of fonts breaking up in case of certain languages.
Scheduled fixes for identified issues

  • When changing the deadzone settings in the lobby, the options screen needs to be opened once again for the settings to be reflected. This issue will be fixed soon.
Cosmetics

  • Added a new free crate ("Western Military Crate") that can be earned with BP.

Consdering how long we wait for patches they are rather small.

Not sure why cosmetcs have such ridiculous drop rates either, it is meaningless and rather generic looking....I mean 0.0064% for a plain skirt, wtf!

Yeah. Those drop rates are ridiculous.
