Pro Evolution Soccer 2016

Bought PES 2015 a couple of months ago and after giving it the necessary time to adjust I've come to realize its the far better game for someone like me who wants gameplay to be as realistic as possible.
Im now loving the PES 2016 demo and after a decade of yearly purchases, Fifa is now dead to me for the foreseeable future.

Not bought PES in a while but this does seem better.

Don't see myself getting FIFA this year so I might pick this up around Christmas time.

Why are all the passes still going straight? I want to curve the pass around the opposition. I also noticed that player movement still gets locked in to a straight line for too long.

I might bite tomorrow, haven't played a single one since PES 6 when the 360 was released before that 1-5 on the Playstation. The game itself looks solid and with the addition of badges and kits for the PS4 it's even more enticing.

BUT the online side of things needs to be sorted before I dive in so I will be patiently waiting for player reviews tomorrow.

Have to say they was so close to making a great game but let down by the keepers some of the worst ever.

Good Reviews.
Hardcore football enthusiasts haven't been so kind.
Summer transfers update file won't be out for 2-3 weeks. Really?!?!
Director of the Fox engine and others have just left Konami and it appears the company is leaving the console marketplace to work on mobile games.

All doesn't bode well for the game, I can't get myself to buy even though the demo was good for the most part. If Konami doesn't support this title with updates and bug fixes then I am just going to stick with FIFA this year.

Oh my, this plays a magnificent game of football.

If Konami really are bowing out of console games altogether, between this and MGS 5 they have released two of the best games of the year. Not a bad swansong.

No doubt they will continue to put out PES games though until EA inevitably buys up every last license in world football to the point it becomes 'Roman city' versus 'The Old lady FC' in the 'Spag Bol' league

I think PES will stay at least for 2-3 years, but with the engine dev team breaking down it wouldn't be able to hold much longer. Especially when EA would be putting tons of cash into Ignite and Frostbite.

Konami are not leaving anything. Yes, their main focus will be F2P Mobile games, but thy are still making AAA games for console/PC.

I didn't mean to imply this was the last PES. Konami just recently paid some hefty licensing fees for the Champions League and a couple others. There are still a couple years left on those contracts so no doubt there will be new versions of PES sold.

My concern is that they are basically going to be just slapping on new year on the cover and move on. Past history with game companies have shown that when your top talent moves on right around the release of a new title that oftentimes all is not well. And nobody can argue that not have all the transfers ready for a Day 1 update shows an overall lack of commitment to supporting their product. I mean this isn't even programming we are talking about, it's typing.

I may still end up with PES this year as I want great gameplay over flash. Been playing the FIFA16 early access this weekend and I haven't been overly impressed at all.

i wouldnt say the game is magnificent but its better than FIFA this year imo. FIFA 16 has just not been fun for me

football games are really starting to stagnate

Just won a Twitter drawing for this game! Booyah. Can't wait to dive in tonight!

Sweet dude, congrats.

Has anyone won a penalty yet?

Christ, has anyone actually seen more than one foul in 90 minutes of football yet?

I get fouled 90% of the time, rarely get a free kick or penalty, though.

Any long serving player got any tips?

What is it specifically you are struggling with? (Don't mean that to come across as snarky or anything)

I recommend -1 game speed to make the game a bit less chaotic and end to end first off. It also enables better build up play when the game is slowed down slightly.

I am not struggling with anything. I am actually doing pretty well in the Master League with Crystal Palace. But all games have their little things that can make a difference that new players might not know about.

Talking of Master League, I bought Harry Kane to Crystal Palace and he is running riot. 15 games played with 20 goals:banana:

Kane at Palace??? You monster!

What difficulty are you playing it on? I always try and stick to Top Player as Superstar can be a brutal war of attrition that is no fun.

If you ever get the chance to pick up Morata, you should, he is absolutely unstoppable in this game. I think in part it may be because after Neymar he is the second player in all the adverts and promos for the game.

I am on Top Player.

Morata was second on my list, but I couldn't get him to come to Palace:sad:

Only other player I bought was Januzaj from Man United. He also has been a terrific addition to this Palace team.

Man the squad's are badly out of date on this and the spurs kits are just shocking.

They have bodged in a workaround for offline exhibition matches to update the team roster but it is embarrassing that the full update isn't till the end of the month.

The kit colours for unlicensed teams I think must have been deliberately set wrong to not draw attention to the real thing or something. They used to be the right colours in previous versions now they are just completely random. Weird.
