Are you doing the middle strategy? Do you have a Hunter, and Titan in your group?
Yeah, the strategy is pretty well known. But executing it perfectly is another matter. On most of the teams I've been on the problem has been taking down the swordbearer quick enough to strike Crota. I've been on teams that got close to killing Crota a few times but something always went wrong leading to a wipe. I'll keep trying and I'm sure it'll will happen eventually.
The AR I got is pretty good. I like how it stuns Wizards. I can't wait to see what the other primary weapons do.
lol Yeah, the Swordbearer is a pain in the ass. He will hide and run like a scared chicken behind the rocks where the Chalice spawns on Normal. Most of the responsibility of running out the Swordbearer is on your sword carrier. Your group can move to the left and right glass barriers if the Swordbearer runs wide. You just have to be careful.
Just remember your team has 1 minute, starting when someone leaves the far left or right rooms. Then take down the Swordbearer and use 1 sword on Crota. Your team should move to the left side glass barrier and hug the divider to the middle glass barrier because Crota will move right. The 1 minute timer restarts when Crota moves back to bridge center.
Just took him down with a team that made it look easy. And got the helmet I already have and the shader.
That's cool, tomorrow is the reset so hopefully I get more weapons on my next hard run.
Yeah, I got another helmet for my Titan too. I started to break it down, then noticed that it had the Orbs replenish health perk. I decided to keep it for the Hard raid. I had always thought that was a useless perk until the Crota battle on Hard.Just took him down with a team that made it look easy. And got the helmet I already have and the shader.

I swear I get excited every Tuesday because of the reset. It reminds me of playing video slots when I was 18. After you have fed it your money and time long enough, it makes you think it has to pay out soon. Destiny has better gameplay though lol.
I ran with a great group earlier today. These guys were so good they only needed 2 guys to kill the Ogres while the 4 remaining hide in the crystal room. I've never seen Crota hard raid done like that. I received some good drops too. I got the pulse rifle and handcannon. Now all I'm missing is the scout rifle. The new shadder looks weird, looks like you glow in the dark with it.
I need more shard to upgrade my raid gear before I think about doing hard mode..Trying to get my alt to 30 before I attempt Scrota..to farm shards
I got 2 Word of Crota, a second Oversoul Edict, a second Abyss Defiant, and a second Fang of Ir Yut this week. Im keeping the second Fang, but I broke down all the duplicates. The Word of Crota hasn't impressed me much. Im going to keep it as a 331 Void primary, that is about the only reason Im keeping it. I really like the Fang though. No Crux of Crota yet.Went through all 3 of my characters on hard, still no word of crota
A guy I was playing with got one from the Nightfall Tuesday. I bet Xur will be selling it this week.
Not to rain on anything. The leaks suggest that Bungie has removed the ghorn from Xur's loot table.
There are 2 Xur's, one which is true RNG and the other which Bungie controls
I actually made that assumption a couple months ago, so the rain has already fallen.
The leak that you are referring to could very well be true. Xur has only had the Gjally once, and that was not too long after Destinys release.

Fatebringer is a decent handcannon, but the Saterienne Rapier scout rifle that the Crucible Quartermaster sells has the Firefly perk and does 331 damage.I need to get Fatebringer. Wasn't able to get one so far.
Yeah, I see that. It's just that I like to collect all raid weapons and keep 'em in Vault Space. Admittedly I was bit lazy and didn't get the chance to play VoG on hard mode for the past couple of weeks (guess I got tired of play that level many times). I'm going to try and play this week for sure. I'm hoping to get Fatebringer and Vex Mythocast. Need 'em badly.
Do you use 3 characters or just 1? I got the Vex 3 weeks in row, but I was running 3 characters every week.
At the moment, I have 32/31/27 characters (Titan/Titan/Hunter). The first one is my major man. The 2nd and 3rd one are just for Raids/Weekly/Nightfall to get rare weapons. However, for some reason, I find myself more stick with the first one and hardly bother the other ones. I probably need to start using others more often.
Pretty much what I did...RAID'ed with two toons to level one to 32, then switched everything to my second toon. Not sure if I want to bother leveling my Hunter to 32...

Fatebringer still one of the best weapons in the game. Arc damage AND firefly? So good.
