Top Republican on Tax Subcommittee Received Yacht Loan From Foreign Bank Lobbying on 2017 Tax Bill
Representative Vern Buchanan (R-FL), who sits on the House Ways and Means Committee and leads its tax policy subcommittee, has been under fire in recent weeks for purchasing a yacht on the same day he voted for the GOP tax package. Buchanan registered a 73-foot Ocean Alexander vessel named Entrepreneur with the U.S. Coast Guard a month later, according to federal records.
Although Buchanan is one of the wealthiest members of Congress -- worth at least $80 million -- federal records show one of his limited liability companies financed the purchase with a BMO Harris Bank loan worth as much as $5 million. Since 2016, Buchanan’s companies have received three loans worth as much as $35 million from BMO Harris, which is the American subsidiary of the Bank of Montreal. In total, since he was appointed to the Ways and Means Committee in 2010, Buchanan and his companies have received between $17 million and $85 million worth of loans from four lenders.
At the time Buchanan’s company received the 2017 yacht loan, BMO Harris was lobbying congressional lawmakers on tax policy overseen by the Ways and Means Committee, according to federal records. Buchanan received a separate BMO Harris loan for a plane in 2016. Records show that loan, worth between $5 million and $25 million, was made around the same time that the bank began lobbying lawmakers on “tax reform proposals.”

Now deleted. "False Acquisitions."

What's amazing is they could probably easily dump Kavanaugh and find some other bible thumper with a clear past and get the nomination easily.

The alt right agenda is not about abortion and saving babies, it is about misogyny, plain and simple. If you ever wonder why the alt right is so anti-abortion? It is all about controlling women.

Just look at all the alt right snowflakes review bombing a video game over their own insecurity.

Following the initial report in The Washington Post, Beverly Young Nelson, appearing with lawyer Gloria Allred, said she had received unwanted attention from Moore when she was 15 years old, and said that—in December 1977 or January 1978[24]—when she was 16, Moore sexually assaulted her. Nelson said that she accepted a ride from Moore after she finished work because she "trusted him because he was the District Attorney".[25] "Instead of driving to the street, he stopped the car, he parked his car in between the dumpster and the back of the restaurant, where there were no lights."[26] Then "Mr. Moore reached over and began groping me and put his hand on my breast. I tried to get out and he reached over and locked (the door) and I yelled and told him to stop," Nelson said. She said Moore then put his hand on her neck and tried to force her head down on his crotch.[27] According to Nelson, he eventually gave up and told her, "You're just a child, I'm the district attorney; if you tell anyone about this no one will ever believe you."[25][28]

Faye Gray,[51] a retired detective, who is a 37-year veteran of the Gadsden police force, stated that in the 1980s she was told to look out for Roy Moore due to his known harassment of cheerleaders at local school athletic events. The detective said that she also had heard that Moore had been banned from the Gadsden Mall and also said that both in the police department and at the Gadsden courthouse there were frequent mentions of Moore liking young girls. She said "I didn't realize until sometime later that when they said he liked young girls, I just thought he liked young ladies, you know, maybe in their 20s. I had no idea, or we had no idea, that we were talking about 14-year-olds."[52]

Just another alt right troll. They all follow exactly the same pattern. Post a light insult, then pretend to want some discussion. Sprinkle in some memes while never, ever actually entering into any kind of discussion. Then they play the "victim" card.

The names change, but the tactics never do. They can't engage in actual discussion, because all they know is what the alt right tribe tells them.

And on their tombstones "But what about . . . ?" (Currently de rigueur: "but her emails!")

Tried engaging with tru adam30000 once and spent time linking to sources. He deflected to "but Hillary" and never bothered to reply. Don't have time for a potato who can't even defend his bull s***.

If that was trump or other republican you would be accusing him of being a pedo.

Difference being Roy Moore is actually accused of being a pedo. It didn't require someone taking photos out of context or photoshop to do so. Roy Moore is a pedo and you are ok with that.

Women voted for this? Any woman that votes republican is moron.

The interesting thing about 2016 is that even with a female candidate plus Trump's "cat grabbing", the voting results among women really didn't change significantly from past elections. There's still a base of women who are Republican loyalists who stay loyal to their party no matter what.

These people need to wake up and stop voting the party no matter what.

If you had to bet, you think Kavanaugh still gets in?

Absolutely yes. Only way he doesn't is if all the GOP voters stand up and make their voices heard that this is unacceptable.

If anything, I think this just rallies the GOP even more. If it is one thing the alt right loves, is being able to play the "victim".

If you had to bet, you think Kavanaugh still gets in?

Is she too drunk/drugged to fight him off?

Oh, that's not what you're asking? Hmm. Depends on if the GOP thinks they have any chance of holding on to the Senate. If they do, they may well punt and put someone new up after the midterms. If they think they don't, they put him in so they can control the Court for as long as they can.

The really sad thing is that the morally decent answer would be to wait and see what the testimony tomorrow and any other investigation reveals.
