It's too hostile here and I'd rather steer conversation towards something more meaningful anyway.

Just think about it this way. If you ask any of the five major candidates last election "Are you the most pragmatic choice for President?" all five of them are going to say something along the lines of "Of course. I want to enact change that actually matters for the American people."

Not only that, but if you asked anyone who voted for anyone, most would tell you they voted for the most pragmatic candidate. I just don't think AOC is very pragmatic at all.

. I voted for Jill Stein.

Hey I could have been one of the many who stayed home.

Didn't Kerosene31 say over 40% didn't vote? Is this because they're told the person they like can't win? If they all showed up, could a 3rd party have at least enough support to be in the race till the end?

Okay aside from that, I voted more in support of The Green Party than Stein as a candidate; I previously voted for Ralph Nader. Some of my choice was influenced by debates and interviews with progressive Chris Hedges. Many felt Hillary represented a strain of Neo-Liberalism Warhawks not worth supporting.

As weird as Trump is even trolling N. Korea, he hasn't really been that much of a Warhawk even though he loves to saber rattle.

In 2011, then Secretary of State Clinton championed a “humanitarian” war against Libya to overthrow Muammar Gaddafi after he had abandoned WMD, Libya had been removed as a state sponsor of terrorism, he had handsomely compensated the victims of the Lockerbie bombing, and he posed no threat to the United States. She has fiercely defended the war as “smart power at its best.”

Anyway, I just waded into what The Sunset Limited thought would be a distraction, but here it is.

Roger Stone indicted on charges brought by special counsel
(CNN) Roger Stone has been indicted by a grand jury on charges brought by special counsel Robert Mueller, who alleges that the longtime Donald Trump associate sought stolen emails from WikiLeaks that could damage Trump's opponents at the direction of "a senior Trump Campaign official."
The indictment's wording does not say who on the campaign knew about Stone's quest, but makes clear it was multiple people. This is the first time prosecutors have alleged they know of additional people close to the President who worked with Stone as he sought out WikiLeaksfounder Julian Assange.
"After the July 22, 2016, release of stolen (Democratic National Committee) emails by Organization 1, a senior Trump Campaign official was directed to contact STONE about any additional releases and what other damaging information Organization 1 had regarding the Clinton Campaign. STONE thereafter told the Trump Campaign about potential future releases of damaging material by Organization 1," prosecutors wrote.

Not just indicted, but arrested.

Really makes you wonder why a person would knowingly lie under oath. Either they are an idiot, or are sure they have a get out of jail free pardon.

The time for Trump to step down is now. Pardon everyone involved and resign. At the very least, Trump is guilty of gross incompetence (probably a LOT more).

This isn't about right vs left, but right vs wrong.

Trump needs to resign now. Get the Republicans in the senate and everyone else together and hammer out an agreement to get the gov't back going.

We know that won't happen...

Well the only good thing about someone voting for Jill Stein instead of staying home is voting in the other races. The Ralph Nader thing is a pretty clear reason why its such a bad idea. Its why we got Bush and not Gore.

I could at least understand someone voting for Gary Johnson. At least he is qualified to be President.

sarah sanders: This has nothing to do with the president and certainly nothing to do with the White House.

trump's name is mentioned 10 times in the 24 page indictment.

Here's your alternative facts Trumpsplainer to prove that she's telling the truth. All of the charges are about lying to cover up the collusion with Russia, which all happened before Trump was elected, so it doesn't have anything to do with the President (since that was Obama) or the White House.
