Some serious mental gymnastics.

Also, I've been hearing more and more about this Ben Shapiro fella, who is he?
As Kerosene said, more of a troll than anything. He is supposed to be some infallible super debater for the right. Search for him on YouTube and you'll find plenty videos of him "destroying liberals." Take a grab out of the logical fallacy bag and you're sure to pull out one he's gone with.

What the f*** is he even talking about?
Who knows. I don't following him enough to keep up with his ramblings. Best guess is it's tied to the march for life even a couple weeks ago. He mentioned killing unborn children or something there as well.

Once in a while he will make a good argument. It’s far and few between.

Well its better than whatever nonsense he was going on then about not wanting to kill baby Hitler

For the record I would drop kick baby Hitler right off a cliff

He seemed sane when he was on Bill Maher a few weeks ago. But it seems like every time he pops up on Twitter or in the news it's from weird s*** like this.

He almost seemed intimidated on Maher which was surprising, he's been up against people who are far more informed than Maher and been much more forceful in pushing his views. His "debate mastery" is a total sham though, he often makes the dumbest points and his fans applaud. He talks so fast and is confident enough in what he's saying that I think some people just don't have enough time to analyze what he says and respond lol.

Remember the amazing foxconn deal Conald trump touted? Well, they're already not going to reach their claimed 5000 new jobs in 2020. It will be 1000. They will never get anywhere close to 13,000 manufacturing job BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT BE DOING ANY MANUFACTURING IN THE UNITED STATES LIKE THEY CLAIMED THEY WERE TO GET THE $4b tax break. They're going to make parts in China, ship them to Mexico to assemble and then import finished products to the U.S.

Foxconn may not build $10B Wisconsin plant Trump touted
Foxconn is reconsidering plans to make advanced liquid crystal display panels at a $10 billion Wisconsin campus, and said it intends to hire mostly engineers and researchers rather than the manufacturing workforce the project originally promised.
Announced at a White House ceremony in 2017, the 20-million square foot campus marked the largest greenfield investment by a foreign-based company in U.S. history and was praised by President Donald Trump as proof of his ability to revive American manufacturing.
Foxconn, which received controversial state and local incentives for the project, initially planned to manufacture advanced large screen displays for TVs and other consumer and professional products at the facility, which is under construction. It later said it would build smaller LCD screens instead.
Now, those plans may be scaled back or even shelved, Louis Woo, special assistant to Foxconn Chief Executive Terry Gou, told Reuters. He said the company was still evaluating options for Wisconsin, but cited the steep cost of making advanced TV screens in the United States, where labor expenses are comparatively high.
"In terms of TV, we have no place in the U.S.," he said in an interview. "We can't compete."
When it comes to manufacturing advanced screens for TVs, he added: “If a certain size of display has more supply, whether from China or Japan or Taiwan, we have to change, too.”
Rather than a focus on LCD manufacturing, Foxconn wants to create a "technology hub" in Wisconsin that would largely consist of research facilities along with packaging and assembly operations, Woo said. It would also produce specialized tech products for industrial, healthcare, and professional applications, he added.
“In Wisconsin we’re not building a factory. You can’t use a factory to view our Wisconsin investment,” Woo said.
Earlier this month, Foxconn, a major supplier to Apple, reiterated its intention to create 13,000 jobs in Wisconsin, but said it had slowed its pace of hiring. The company initially said it expected to employ about 5,200 people by the end of 2020; a company source said that figure now looks likely to be closer to 1,000 workers.
It is unclear when the full 13,000 workers will be hired.

Just goes to show what great businessmen the GOP have - rather than let government give money to people or hire people (or pay the people they do employ if the Orange Cheeto doesn't get his latest toy), they gave away $4B of taxpayer money to create 1000 jobs. If the government just hired people at $100,000 a year, (which, remember, this was sold as manufacturing so that would be amazeballs huge moeny) those 1000 jobs would be funded for 40 years.

Bill is a smart and quick witted guy and he doesn't take any BS, plus the audience is obviously hostile towards the right. They are fine with someone having a debate, but the minute they go into right wing propaganda mode, they will get shut down. Any right wing pundits dial it way down on his show and actually seem reasonable, until they are back out in the wild and can turn the crazy up to 11.

Oh yeah Bill is smart and quick but he isn't always the most informed person on every subject, Shapiro has been in actual hour long debates with people who have studied up on the subjects and has "performed" much better, his arguments generally don't hold any water but he at least makes an attempt to make it look like he's arguing a point and trying to "win" he lacked any of that when he was on Real Time.

Yeah, but Bill also isn't blindly loyal to his side, so if they do something wrong, he'll call them out. There's nothing to "catch" him on. He would never try and claim perfection or purity of his side which gets so many others in trouble.

Regarding the FoxCON job in WI.. listening to Wisconsin Public Radio this morning they were talking about this. Republicans up to their dirty tricks again.

RACINE COUNTY — Republican leaders, including Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester, are pointing fingers at Democratic Gov. Tony Evers after news came out that Foxconn Technology Group is going to adjust plans for its Mount Pleasant manufacturing campus.
Democrats, in turn, blamed Republicans for what they consider a bad deal with Foxconn.
In a statement released Wednesday, Vos and state Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, wrote:

“We don’t blame Foxconn for altering plans in an ever-changing technology business. It’s also not surprising Foxconn would rethink building a manufacturing plant in Wisconsin under the Evers Administration. The company is reacting to the wave of economic uncertainty that the new governor has brought with his administration. Governor Evers has an anti-jobs agenda and pledged to do away with a successful business incentive for manufacturing and agriculture.”

I didn't think Tony Evers had any power to influence a deal already agreed to, except maybe mitigate some of it's environmental impact. If there are Tax Breaks or other incentives signed off on by Walker, I don't think he can undo them.

You wouldn't think that, but you're not being told constantly to think that by the Obummer is a Mutant Muslim Fascist Nazi Socialist Society of the Greater Old People foundation.

IDK how to spin that, Ralph didn't make a good decision on this one.

The most interesting thing about it is that Ed Gillespie and his band of merry misfits somehow missed this during the election cycle. Like, you were a super known racist and you couldn't even paint your opponent in the same light when the evidence was right in his yearbook from EVMS (a very nice medical school that I've jogged through many times).

Gonna be an interesting weekend in Richmond. I'll probably try to be nowhere near the Capitol.
