I've been reading way to much into conspiracy theories, at first I judged, poked fun.... than I asked my self why people think all these things, so i researched. I was curious. see what the celebrities go through. David Chappelle, Brittney spears, Kat Williams, Martin Lawerence, Kenye West. Amanda Bynes. Celebrities talking about their alternate personalities (mk ultra controlled) I went down that rabbit Hole..

Martin Lawerence screaming in the streets "there going to kill me"

Eminem rapping about people controlling him every other song, He's so popular. Everyone lives him, now he raps about being depressed, being controlled.

Did you see the Infamous Daved Chappelle interview? Why did he move to africa? He refused to sell his soul.

The media/celebrities /media all relative..

I'm a believer in the Illuminati.

i officially rename United States of America to South Korea 2.

Because that's what we are..

We make fun of them, but do the same in our own ways.

They say "George Carlin was the funniest/best comedian ever!"

He joked were around conspiracy theories. He did not trust the government either.. but we laugh at his jokes because the truth is funny.. that's all we can do. Is laugh.

That sounds great at first, but imposing tariffs and/or bringing jobs back here just causes the price of everything to rise.

It is sad but also the truth. We can't complete in a lot of manufacturing, simply because American workers have a higher standard of living. There's a reason tons and tons of jobs have moved overseas, and it isn't any elaborate conspiracy, just simple economics.

The US needs to find what it still does better than anyone else. We have the best higher ed system in the world by far for example. We do IT way, way, way better than anyone else (notice where the last big malware hit big?). Companies that try to farm IT out overseas usually come running back to the US in a big hurry.

The problem is finding more things for more people to do, and getting them properly trained. For the most part, college is the only option for everyone and that should be changed to include more trades and skills that are still very much in demand.

American manufacturers need a level playing field. If Germany puts a tarrif on US made goods because they are not made in the EU then we should in turn do the same thing. I am talking about imports. If the German goods are made in the US then no tarrif. This does not apply to the situation I posted above.

Tariffs don't address the problem you mentioned - wage differences. Tariffs are a short term fix that leads to a tariff war. The one with the lower costs always wins in the end.

The crap Trump sold people on this was a gross oversimplification of things. People think tariff but really what it is is a tax. Tax imports and the price goes up, impacting all of us. Now, if you get your labor costs on par with another country then the only difference is the tariff, well, you can try it then. Chances are though, manufacturing just moves again and again until it finds the lowest labor costs.

What part are you missing??? We don't impose tarrifs. They do because our goods are not made in the EU. If they are going to make it so US companies cant compete on their soil we in turn need to do the same unless they manufacture it in the US.

You want to put tariffs on them, right? That's what you don't get. Economics is not that simple. Putting a tariff on imports is a tax, and causes prices for everyone to go up. You said yourself that slave wages are the problem. Tariffs don't fix that. Not long term.

Want the world to buy from US manufacturers? Use innovation and automation to build it cheaper and/or better, not start a tariff war. Manufacturing jobs have been leaving the US in droves since before most of us were born. We can't compete with countries where people have a lower standard of living and will work for a much, much lower wage. Nobody wants to hear that, and no politician will tell you that. Everything Trump makes comes from China.

I mean if there was a way to turn back the clock to 1955 when the US had great manufacturing jobs, that would be great. People like Trump want to sell you on the idea that we can stop global economics, but that's a line of bull. Global economics is here and has been for some time.

I'm guessing in the industry you are referring that things aren't even as simple as "German made". I bet parts are made somewhere, assembled somewhere else, etc. If I showed you a Chevy and a Toyota, which is the American car? The answer is not actually very simple at all. Both and neither.

When they are putting tarrifs on your goods you should do it to theirs. Plain and simple. If they drop their tariff you do yours. Tit for tat. Fair is fair. Why do you think they put their tarrifs in place? It's to keep the population if the EU working. It's protectionism. This is the only issue I agree with Trump on. Our trade policies are severely tilted in the other countries favor.

You can do that, it just won't fix anything until you address the underlying problems.

Also, take a good look at the EU. I would not use them as a positive model to emulate. They've already lost the UK. What happens if(when) someone else bails? Protectionism is desperation. A tariff is a tax on the German people. That's state sponsored industries, which is the socialism that Trump fights against.

What Trump doesn't tell you is that every economic policy has a cost. You think putting a tariff on someone else is "someone else's problem" but it isn't. It ends up raising our prices here at home. There's no free lunch.

Are people fleeing the US to go live in these other countries? Not really. Why? While we have our challenges, we are still a great country (I would say the best, but I'm biased).

I thought this was one of my posts at first.

I thought I was the only person to post about Amanda Bynes on here. May she live forever.

It's amazing that Amanda Bynes hasn't been asked for comment more in regards to the political climate of foreign affairs.

Colin Firth plays her father in one of her movies, and he's British.

Also, isn't it amazing that Martin Lawrence isn't related to Jennifer Lawrence!?

So the solution is for the US to pay slave wages? This "it raises prices" argument is bogus. You would have the CHOICE of buying the higher priced import. You don't have to buy it.

Maybe you should check to see who obama deported versus who trump has been targeting.

Before researching conspiracy theories, maybe you should research facts.

Democrats have never been against deporting trouble makers, but they acknowledge that good illegals actually help the economy. If you dont understand how, maybe you need to look into it.

Nice, glad someone isn't afraid to show him he ain't no alpha.

I don't buy that explanation, since the evidence supports the theory that Trump understands French as well as he does English, Quantum Mechanics, and keeping his hands to himself.

No! We need to find what we are good at, not put dated protectionist policies in place. The US isn't good at providing lower skilled labor, so stop trying to complete at something we're never going to be competitive at.

Tariffs absolutely do raise prices. Again, you're falling into Trump's simplistic view of economics. In your situation, the import is a little cheaper, so putting a tariff on it presumably makes it the same or more expensive than US made... so to me, that's a price increase as I'm paying more for the same thing. Economics doesn't work in a vacuum.

The point is to focus on quality and not cheap wages. We can't make it cheaper, because we won't work for slave wages, so make it better, or find a better way to make it (or maybe don't make it at all). There was a trend in IT to outsource everything to India, but it is already reversing. Why? Because of quality. There's no way we can compete with a shop in Mumbai on price, but we can give you better code that is well written and won't be a nightmare to re-write.

I disagree. If that view is simplistic then the rest of the world is very simple. They do it to us and we take it on the rear.

Tarrifs do raise prices, and you're looking at it through very idealistic and simplistic lenses.

The "they do it, so we could do it too" doesn't always work for us, because it could be a big negative to us.

Sure it raises prices on what is being tarriffed. That's the whole idea. Level the playing field. American manufacturers are at a disadvantage IN America. That should not be the case. They should at least have a level playing field if not the advantage.

And when prices are raised, people will shop for the cheaper alternative or simply make do with less.
Americans buying less, equates to even less taxes being pumped into the system.

We don't want foreign goods to become more expensive, it's the very reason why we rely on them. Trying to alter that could have negative effects on our economy.

That's just leveling the tariff playing field. If labor costs are still very different, it does nothing. If it makes you feel better, that's fine, but there's nothing "fair" about global economics. If they have the lower labor costs, they win.

If two companies make the exact same product, but one has a cost of 10 per unit while the other only 5 per unit, guess who wins? Tariffs don't change our costs, and if our costs are higher, there is no "fair".

Don't aim for "fair", be better. Outcompete the other company with better products.

We do outcompete. We are the market leader. But due to an uneven playing field (there are tons of other contributing factors other than labor cost) the competition now has an advantage.
