The Naughty Dog Agenda

I often have gay days.

Le Bible -- or a couple of verses, anyhow, mostly some stuff from the OT and a couple lines from Paul. Jesus himself never said a word about it (you'd think he would've called it out, if it were a big deal).

Btw, I learned recently that "homosexuality" back in Biblical times looked a bit different than it does now. Now when we think of being gay, we picture two men or women together, but back then, what "homosexuality" often meant was an older Roman official banging a young boy who he kept, basically as a sexual slave. That is probably part of why it got a bad name.

Then there's the whole "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" angle, but apparently God made a lot of gay sheep and rabbits, so that kind of goes out the window.
Jesus didn't talk about many things that are talked about as being wrong in other parts of the Bible.
Bible is clear on same sex,sex being wrong and unnatural.
Man/woman are not animals and animals are not made in God's Image but people tend to act like animals.(both homosexual and heterosexual)

Bible is clear on all kinds of things being wrong that we no longer consider wrong. Masturbating, women wearing sexy clothes, eating snails, getting tattoos, getting divorced, getting remarried after a divorce, women speaking in church, premarital sex, on and on. Yeah, Leviticus calls homosexuality an abomination. It also calls eating lobster an abomination. I mean, come on.

The Bible wasn't dictated by God. It was written by people, in a historical context, seen through their cultural lenses. We need to get some context here.

I think the intolerance that traditional/fundamentalist Christians show toward gay people does just as much damage to Christianity as it does to gay people. Live and let live, man.

The Bible considered it wrong, still considers it wrong and its explained in much more detail in the New Testament then when it was initially spoken about.

All the sins you list are still wrong today minus the diet which the new Testament addresses.
What we consider right doesn't make them right.
The bible also talks about evil being called good and good being called evil and this is what we have today.

The other parts of this post is spoken like a true atheist who doesn't want to be accountable for what he does so pretends his word/bible is no good/not legit.

If your opinion on the real world is shaped solely by what you read in a book that was written by people who didn't know where the sun went at night and had no scientific knowledge about even basic things I don't know what to tell you. If someone you loved told you they were pregnant and never had sex would you believe them? NOPE so why believe all of this nonsense?

Not getting anywhere with that logic and me.

If you really base your thinking on the bible I don't think logic is the approach to take anyway. I don't mean that as an attack on you but nothing about religion is logical, you can believe in a higher power and not believe the obvious man made garbage that's been used to control people for so long.

Wasting your time with these points and me but carry on if you like.

I'm going to go beat off and eat some lobster while looking at pictures of women in sexy clothes eating snails.

Oh, I know I'll be "held accountable," but it will be in a spirit of love and mercy -- qualities which you yourself seem to lack. Or at least, you're not displaying them here. I assume you're a kind person at some level, but you come across rigid and self-righteous in your posts.

I'm a Christian, though a sh*tty one. I do understand this much, though. If there's one thing we can say is characteristic of Jesus, it's that he reserved his harshest criticism for the morally self-righteous religious people. And he did nothing but extend love and grace to the the poor, the outsiders, and the outcasts. You might think about where you'd fall on that divide.

Its pretty clear to me...

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Go beat off and eat whatever doing whatever you want.
That's your choice not sure the point christian?

You try and tell me what I lack but yet know nothing about me....you claim to be a christian but are very accepting of what the world says over what the bible that you obviously don't fully believe in says. Not sure what version of the word or what sect you follow but I perceive new age teachings thrown in the mix.

I am farrrrrr from being without sin and that's why I needed a savior just like everyone does as God requires perfection and we all fall short.

If you really love someone you tell them the truth no matter how much it hurts.
Holding the truth back is not love.

From Paul...
Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

Telling someone you disagree with part of who they are and even trying to do things to keep them from having equal rights because a book of fiction tells you too isn't love it's arrogance. Islamist's (Islamic fundamentalists) think they know the "truth" too and look what kind of carnage that kind of thinking can bring.

True love comes from God... is God
God isn't the author of sin nor does he give love to what his word says is sin.

EDIT: God don't make a person do sin that's a persons choice.

I don't think it's a sin to beat off, but it's probably a sin to tell people that you're about to do it.
