Nobody said Zelda would be bad. Going by history, it'll probably be a great game.

I was just noting your 180 (as usual). In other threads you brag about consoles being great by having unique games and exclusives. Switch has all kinds of unique games taking advantage of the joy-cons such as ARMs, 1-2 Switch and Snipperclips.

Yet you buy a Switch, add on a standard pro controller, and the only game you plan to play is Zelda.... a 30 year old franchise, which has about 20 games under it's belt (and that even excludes the Philips CD-i games).

Zelda, Mario and Red Dead are the GotY candidates. ME Andromeda could pull something out of their hat, but I see a 2010 repeat.

0 talk of this at work so far despite having a lot of gamers. Everyone's happy with their Xbox or PS.

And yeah Game still taking day one pre orders.
Maybe it's due to Nintendo not giving out many details(again)?
 
Mass Effect 2 did win almost as many GOTY awards as RDR in 2010 but Bioware was a lot better then.

Its RDR2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Zelda>Horizon>everything else in terms of GOTY likely winners

Switch is NOT main console worthy at this time.
But imo Nintendo's exclusives are Switch purchase worthy with Zelda being a must have purchase along with the upcoming Mario 64 successor.
Don't care for the gimmicky type games being made for it.

Well it's official. I sold my Xbox One S/ Library /and 2TB hdd for $200 to my brother-in-law.
The same B-I-L that pissed on my OG PS4. Lol

Definitely interested in seeing Scorpio now.

That is the most I have seen of the game yet and it does excite me.

BUT......

Let's not make it like "freedom" is some new gaming concept, maybe for Zelda. Unless this is some newfound freedom never before seen in gaming. And freedom to me means if I get to Zelda that I have the ability to pin her knees behind her ears. :grin::surprise::laugh:

I like some of the content of the video, and the game looks great, but there is a lot of hyperbole in the vid that is a tad annoying. "best controls in any game ever"- shows attack, jump, sprint, and action, lol. I get that they are excited that the game is going back to "normal control" but this is a bit silly. I don't like when previews are more like PR. And what's with the Conan music?!

Open world is fine too- provided there are interesting things to do and the side quests are good (see the Witcher- don't see Final Fantasy XV). I find it sorta ridiculous to have such an orgasm over it when we are now at a point where open world fatigue is starting to set in. Thankfully, I expect Ninty to deliver a good implementation.

Talking about many of these features like they are new is weird as they are practically standard. Now, the important thing is implementation, and I wish this was more emphasized though as I said, I find it unlikely Ninty will drop the ball here.

I thought about keeping Gears 4 and Horizon 3. I'm sure I'll get them again down the line.

I wanted to leave him something to play since I'm reformatting the HDD and deleting my profile.

I woulda kept H3, that and Gears 4 are definite day one Scorpio upgraded titles.

No Virtual Console at launch sucks. But Zelda will keep me busy for awhile. Plus MARIO Kart DLX and I never bought Splatoon on Wii U. So I'm looking forward to getting that.
