Ok, thanks for explaining. I was wondering what your reasoning was. I agree they will price it well. I agree about strong first party, although the question there is always how fast can they deliver them, since that is all they sometimes have to offer. I'm not sure whether they'll get good 3rd party support, but I guess we'll see.
I'm just surprised to hear you championing them. I recall you being pretty negative in the Wii U threads -- maybe that came from your sense that they really f*cked up with that one. Maybe, like Showers, you think they'll get it (reasonably) right this time. That makes sense. I mean, companies do learn from their mistakes. Sony did. Microsoft did. No reason to think Nintendo can't (except, as a company, they do seem more insular and inward-looking than the other two).
I think the one thing that could tank them is if they try to get overly cute and "innovative" with the design -- you know, some weird hybrid that just doesn't click, doesn't capture people's imagination.
