Its $199 here in Aus... That's half the cost of a ps4 with 3 games and some random s*** from the same store!
I bought one of those $160 mechanical keyboards for some stupid reason, and I can't justify it. I really wont get my moneys worth out of this.
It looks amazing though! Crem de la luxe! The colour scheme alone is sex on a stick.
If the controller could counteract the fact that I mostly game after a few drinks, I might be more into it. Its awesome that all ends of the spectrum are being catered to by launching premiums like this.

The cost is high, but comfort comes into it. I was playing Destiny this weekend using a single shot scout rifle and pulling the trigger a billion times gets tiring. Having a hair trigger will be very nice. Again, it isn't going to make me into an MLG pro or anything, but I should be more comfortable.
Wait you actually think the Elite controller is exactly the same as a regular controller except that it has 4 additional buttons?

I love it. Worth every penny. It takes some getting used to though, but never taking your thumbs off the sticks in a shooter is great.
For Kontrol Freek fans, their adapters work just fine on the Elite. The longest sticks on the elite still aren't quite as long as the longer Freeks.

With the curve adjustment for the thumbsticks, the long Kontrol Freaks don't seem to be needed anymore.
Played some Forza and FIFA with it tonight and this controller is so buttery smooth with the sticks and weighted so nice in the hands. I love it instantly and it will only get better as I start assigning moves to the paddles. So glad they added a carry case because this thing is going with me wherever I go to play.

No, but I like the feel of the Freeks still. (probably just because I am so used to it). I haven't gamed on a default Xbox stick in years.

Microsoft brought in some Xbox MVPs to help with development of the Elite Controller. I can finally say that I was a part of that group. I can't give out any additional details, but they sent me an Elite Controller to thank me.
And although my opinion is biased, I'd absolutely buy one if I didn't get it for free.

In all seriousness, I don't think the controller will make anyone way better, but just more comfortable and a little better at least. I have big hands and the default controller is just too small. I have to use Kontrol Freek addons now to get extra length on the sticks. It doesn't make me into a pro gamer, but it makes me better for sure having that finer control.
Can't wait for mine to arrive. UPS for some reason loves to put my packages on the truck at 4am and drive them around town all day and deliver them at night.
Not worth it man if you flip it on eBay. I would do craigslist to avoid fees/shipping costs. Also if a buyer said they never got it (even though the tracking say it's delivered and signed), you f***ed no matter what!

Yeah I was a little disappointed in that. The difference wasn't huge, but big enough to throw me off a little. The good thing is you can use the regular sized sticks with the Kontrol Freeks and get the same length overall.
Still though for that price I shouldn't have to go out and buy another addon (although it isn't like I didn't already have them). I wouldn't mind if they included swappable pads and the length as well to give more flexibility.
I've found the one thing this controller is missing!!!
The only thing this controller is missing is: customizeable Xbox Guide LED light color. It would certainly be pretty f***ing cool to be able to personalize your controller a little bit further by having maybe a green, red, purple, pink, yellow or blue Xbox Guide-button. It'd be pennies to add this feature.
