Yeah a lot of this goes on right now. It's actually a good news article because they're discussing what they're doing exactly.

I always assumed this is what happened otherwise why have a report abuse function on the original XBOX??

You watch it get spinned into something more sinister

Yeah, it does seem like a good piece of consumer info. Is nice that they state they will not listen to skype calls, and any info that is sent from Kinect for game purposes is impossible to identify anybody from.

Now we are in the launch month I am really getting excited to see and play on the X1. With all the bollocks put aside this week with the resolution debate, and the endless guff being posted be people who believe that custom hardware can be spec'd out by comparison to off the shelf stuff, I can't wait till Friday 22nd when I will have the un-boxing of my tools of choice for the next generation.....

RYSE (looks better than anything else on either system)
FIFA 14 (1080p 60fps)
COD (1080p up scale) and Killer Instinct to start with........

Going to be a great start, to a new generation with a brilliant console that will grow and transform the hobby I have loved since I was 10....

It's a movie with Simon Pegg in it, absolutely hilarious but alot of british comedy so not too sure if it translates well.
I love British humor, & have lived in England for a while, so it should not be an issue for me. Ok, will look out for this movie. Hopefully its in the bargain bin already.

How have you not seen it yet ? Have you seen Hot fuzz ?

Microsoft and Crytek today announced the [URL='http://www.gamespot.com/ryse-son-of-rome/']Ryse: Son of Rome
season pass, a $20 offering that will include four expansion packs to be released in the months following launch.

The Ryse: Son of Rome season pass will be available for purchase at launch on November 22. It includes four expansions containing a total of 14 multiplayer maps, a new mode, six player skins, new level events, and access to a new tier of weapons and armor.

The four Ryse: Son of Rome expansions will be available for purchase individually, though the only way to receive an in-game sword and shield with bonus attributes for multiplayer will be through the pass.

Ryse: Son of Rome will be available as a boxed product at retail and through download at launch for $60. The game also features microtransactions for its multiplayer mode.

I have to games paid off. I've heard that launch titles will be released on demand day one. I've also heard they won't,wich is why I paid for the games. Can someone tell me please. When I get my X1 home run the update. Will I be able to buy and play Ryse and Dead Rising 3? If I can I don't see the point in oicking up the games from the store.
Yes all games will be available on the X1 digitally on their launch day

Which country are you in?
I live East of the Rhine, so made a guess. Anyway, its the more or less the same across EU zone, unless you are one of the lucky fellow that live in UK, then you get it cheaper.

I'm from the UK, I'm guessing if it is $60 it'll be around £40 here on Xbox Live.

I think MS stated the uk rrp is £49.99. This is also the rrp for 360 games although most shops sell games for the 360 for £40.
Hopefully MS will bring the digital prices down in parity with the shop prices as the next gen goes on although I think GAME is charging up to £55 for next gen games so it may be cheaper to buy digitally

It's crazy how they price games in the UK for DD, I remember Xbox tweeting GTAV for £54.99 (a month after launch) when I can walk into a Tesco or even game and get it a HELL of a lot cheaper.

I don't know how they justify those prices for DD and expect people to fork out, they should be the same as Game stores!!!!!......another gripe for me, I can go to a Tesco/Asda for the game and expect it cheaper usually which is going to mean DD won't be that great for me which is a real shame :( it'd be great if they knocked a few quid off it online considering you're saving the environment buy not needing the box, disks or manuals.

If they sold DD cheaper than the stores, like gamestop, the gamestores would be very mad, it would ruin their business. They will do every thing to avoid that. OC in the long run it will happen, we have seen it with video, stores like blockbuster are nearly gone.

DD will have lots of post-launch deals I'm sure, but don't expect the day 1 price to drop. Devs and Pubs have wanted to put up the prices for some time, but there is strong consumer resistance to it.

Going digital only saves them around $5/copy anyway, so it's an extra $5 in their pocket - a big deal to them if the sell 1 million+ copies, but of little consequence to the consumer buying one copy.

The real increase in revenue will come from intelligent implementation of dlc. That won't be going away anytime soon, for those who keep dreaming.

it doesnt need to be cheaper but should at least match the prices in store or if it has to be more expensive couldnt they package it with a free season pass or discount of additional DLC just something to make it worthwhile.

That's a fair point but, I meant in my original post it'd be nice if they gave you a few quid off, my main point here is they're charging THROUGH THE ROOF when realistically they should match the price of in store which in a lot of cases they aren't.
