Titanfall 1 as a lifelong exclusive. Sequels undetermined.

Finally some good news for the XBO. I don’t know how important one game is though but a nice win for MSFT none the less. I just hope this game ships above 600p resolution. :wink:

Respawn owns IP and they have I might be wrong 10 year publisher deal with EA Partners!Respawn does want to go multi plat with Titanfall!Because of the exclusive deal they might not be able too?....They are rumors Microsoft has a clause in the deal.That they can and have a chance to exclusive rights for any sequel with and for a price.I understand that it has variables,but don't look for Microsoft to give it up unless EA sweetens them a deal on something else or buy out!

I think that is more in the realm of plausible than not, that's pretty much how things work isn't it? Of course if the game does well MS will throw money at it. Just depends on if EA want's to take it or wants to risk possibly more money by going multiplat, or if respawn want's to stay with EA. They may have a 10 year publishing deal but judging from the interviews with Vince I don't think EA could force them to make another Titanfall, they might just make another new IP, always a possibility
 
I guess that's what Respawn gets for not reading the fine print. C'mon that's Business Owners 101!

Yeah. MS's power is in their wallets. I think it's the only reason they made it this far in this industry, it's not exactly kind to newcomers

I was already believing the game was coming to PS4, just shows I should never listen to the resident sony fans.

It's pretty clear what MS is doing, the first game is a test of sorts, if it does well, then I see MS being even more aggressive locking the series down as an exclusive.

Titanfall is my most anticipated game so far for next gen.

I hope it can be a huge success and have regular DLC.

Shadowfall looks pretty sweet to me, as far as singleplayer goes, so who knows? There may very well be room in my heart for two consoles this gen, too. Anyway, they can always play Titanfall on one Microsoft's many other game playing devices called Windows computers.

You mean like Sony fans gloating about their console's magnificent "exclusive" portfolio? At least Microsoft lets you play it on the computer.
 
So if what has been said is true and pans out, TF2 will come out for PS4 depending when the sequel comes out. If it's an annualized game like CoD, then 2014. If it's every two years, then 2015.

Titanfall looks like a "killer app"

I hope Playstation has a few games that will force me to get more than one console tbh.
 
Obviously, sales, install base, & how much money MS (and Sony) are willing to throw will determine its sequels.

But lets not talk about the chickens ( the sequels) when the eggs are still not hatch.

The only things we need to know about Titanfall, are if it can live up to the huge expectations, & signs so far are positive of this, & when will it be release.
