I don't see where Respawn is making that big of a deal out of this or why people are saying they got screwed.
They posted one frowny face about how they only found out recently about their exclusivity.

It's the contract they signed with EA, giving up their publishing rights.. and they are enjoying an epic crapton more exposure and media attention because of their exclusive deal with MS whether it ended up being for the lifetime or not.
There's no reason to be dramatic about it. Games go exclusive.. it's a double edged sword for gamers as it limits choice but also at times makes for better games due to simplified development and better access to dev support.

I think its funny everyone is talking about Titanfall 2 when Titanfall isn't even out yet. I'm quite sure that it will take at least 2 years to develop a second game. Activision alternated developers between Infinity Ward and Treyarch for each year.

Well if that alternating between battlefront, battlefield, and titanfall thing is true, it would be in 3 years. Who knows?

Respawn isn't a big dev though. Unless they are going to sell their IP to a publisher or grow really quickly we won't be seeing Titanfalls every year and maybe not even every 2 years.

Yeah but how long after AC1 did they announce AC2? by AC3 it was an established franchise with a clear fanbase and they knew they were going to milk it
Look at how awesome Titanfall is. We know they're going to milk it. Zampella even insinuated there's going to be a sequel.

. There will probably be a second one but I think they will just wait to see how it does in the first few weeks. It would probably take a couple years anyways given their studio size.
Okay, we both know "we currently have no plans for..." is the biggest sham in the history of any corporation. I've seen developers say that, and then the very next day "oh, look what we have a trailer for here, it's that same f*cking game you just asked about yesterday!"
They always have no plans until they're ready to make the actual announcment.
They were working on AC4 at the same time as AC3. I wouldn't be surprised if TitanFall 2 was already being worked on.
With only 50 staff working on their first game that isn't due for 4-5 months I would be very surprised

And it should only be exclusive to xbox because of the cloud and all the work they put into it,must of been hard work for the the developer to make it for all three platforms.

There no campaign to the first...so if anyone wants to jump to the sequel they can!
If there is a chance the game will come out for the ps4.
