17 gigs. Its up for download now. Doesn't unlock until 4pm for us though :txbmad:
 
London data centre and a 20 millisecond ping are just :banana:

There's data centres in Oz this out as well which I'm sure those down under will appreciate as well.

I was only able to play the short pilot training mission and it didn't even have the hook in it but at least it felt like Titanfall. Roll on 4pm.

Yep, I'll be playing it on XB1 this weekend. I loved TF1. I stuck with it for about a year. I'm not a big competitive FPS, but liked this one alot.
 
So good news for me. It still feels like Titanfall which is great. It is definitely slower though. I don't know if thats good or bad yet. It doesn't like COD at all which is what I was worried about but the UI does remind me of Kill Confirmed or one of those kind of COD game modes.

It is definitely different and I am not sure if that is a good thing or not yet. I did enjoy the 3 games I manged to sneak in though.

yeah the slow down is kind of off putting a little. I like the games I played as well though.
 
Didn't get to play yesterday. Def going to hit it again today after work.
 
I have not played yet but from what I have watched from streams and my brother playing seems slower paced which I would usually like but seems like a lot more camping now.

I don't think I'll like it. I will still give it a try though.
 
Downloading now. The GAF thread seems to say it's CoD-ish more than ever. Makes no diff to me. I don't mind a slightly slower pace. The slower the more campier a shooter can be! LOL! Yeah!
 
Slower? Weaker Titans? Less wall running? Ok, I may like it better than TF1....lol

Haha. Me too, although I don't want weaker titans.

Another big change is that titans are now entirely performance based. The more kills and objectives you score, the closer you get to getting a titan drop.

No more titans for everyone after a timer (like every 3 minutes). People are complaining they aren't getting enough titans per match.

You earn it, or get nothing. I don't mind that at all.

There was a game for you, it was called Call of Duty Black Ops III. I want my titanfall back :(
 
For those complaining about slower, I don't understand. Auto sprint keeps this game faster than greased up lightning.

I used auto sprint in the first one as well. It's not just the tempo of movement. It's the way you move. It just feels slower. Or maybe the flow is off. I can't quite put my finger on it. I'm enjoying it but it's not grabbing me as instantly as the first one.

I think you just feel more weighty.
 
After playing all I can say is thank God for Battlefield. Massively worse than the first game.
 
I'm going to give it some time but first impressions.....this sucks. It's Call of Duty with jet packs. Getting killed feels like Call of Duty. Blind spots are everywhere. Camping looks to be encouraged. Wall running appears to more limited. Damn....maybe there is a learning curve and it all comes to together but this is......bad so far.
 
It sucks- it's like they intentionally designed a beta to piss off fans of the first one. I guess it's good. Too many other games are chasing my money. This is not one of them anymore.
 
You people crazy. The addition of the grapple has made it faster. throw it into the ground ahead of you then jump. It will throw you across the map If you time it correctly especially if you time it with the second throw.

It is. I still occasionally play the first one, and while I don't love the first one (because I suck), this one just pales in comparison. Feels so welfare.
 
I loved TF1. All TF2 needed was more and I would've been happy but the impressions are scarring me :really:. Too tired for MP tonight so i'll try it for myself in the morning.

Funny you should say that. That's just what I'd thought after reading reviews and watching endless streams. Seems like Respawn listened to gamers a bit too much and TF2 is suffering for it. Damn shame...

Also, the taking away of the bots is some bullshyte. It gave TF1 a feel that cant be duplicated without it. I'm still tripping off of the Pilot VS Pilot mode. WTF?
 
I don't understand the negativity . At level 5 now and absolutely love the pacing of this game it's fast , very fast. The movement system works great with My elite controller. I can pretty much fly around the maps just like I do in black ops three . Time to kill is spot on. And Absolutely love being able to connect to a data center . Probably why that hit detection is spot on .
I'm getting a 10 millisecond ping .

I have played nothing but hard point and pretty much dominated and the last two games were on pilot on pilot , eight verse eight and broke 41 kills . One thing I noticed is much better map design . I know it's only two maps but they seem smaller to me and more fluent. I could not stand the map design of the first game because I thought they were way too large. It's like you had to go to witch hunt to find somebody but that's not the case here .

Between battlefield one releasing and the remaster for call of duty I will probably purchase this around Christmas time . Was hoping this game was going to be below average . But it certainly exceeded my expectations . Damnit respawn!
 
It's pretty damn awe....ful.

I see why EA is sending it out to die. Respawn better spawn already.
