Official Thread Titanfall 2

Dumb..... just like the beta, after a match the game can't carry over the lobby to the next map. You start over with a new lobby. In a party after a game, you get a box too that says something like can't find matchmaking.

They had this issue in the beta and it's still not fixed.

It's addicting- I played MP about 4 last night and I'm ready for another big day. So far I'm loading out with CAR and LNG as a pilot and Northstar as a Titan. Northstar packs a punch as a mobility mech. I basically want to see the cluster missle tipped sniper cannon unlock as a weapon.

It does have bots, but a lot less than the first one. They are much more lethal in this one though

Yeah overall the mode isn't as good as the first game but it's still very enjoyable. I actually think they put this is as a reaction to the fans feedback. It seems rushed. The maps seem to big for it and sometimes you'll just see them standing around doing nothing.
It's still a great mode though and all I've been playing. I do want to try Last Titan Standing as well though. Just to help level up my Titans.

It's not. If anything like the beta it's not. Cloud powered bots made the maps feel like you were in the middle of a war in TF1. TF2 legit felt like a CoD clone.

First off the mode wasn't in the beta so that's irrelevant and second, you haven't played it so you can't accurately say it's not like the first one. It is like the first one but it isn't quite as good I feel.

Still not sold on bounty mode. Attrition is intense though, it has quite a few AI and they are definitely more lethal, they even have mini-mech AI now. Only thing I really don't like is the new shield system for the Titans.

I don't like the new mechanics at all and over all I feel the whole game is a step backwards. No customisation on the Titans? Really? It's still fun and enjoyable but the first game tops it in so many ways.

Yea not being able to choose your Titan's weapons sucks.

T1's Titan loadouts were super unbalanced. Most everyone used a handful of the same stuff.

Eh. No. Titan load outs were fine. With the exception of the carbine being an uber gun, it was probably the most balanced multiplayer game I think I've ever played.

Is it me or do all the maps look and feal similar

All the maps I've seen have a similar circular symmetrical layout with a wide open outer portion and structures in the middle. The structures being less vertical than TF1. The maps aren't as interesting and 1's.

Do the Titans take more damage in this game?

They don't have recharging shields so it feels like it. What's worse, I tried to use the faster titan and it had less life and since it had no regenerating shield it was just pointless. Also I haven't seen batteries drop in Attrition so it makes titans life much shorter than TF1.

Pretty much agree with all of that. The maps are just not as good and the new mechanics are a definite step back. It's still fun to play but yeah, it's not a step forward for the game.

Are there any maps that use alot of verticality? I think it would be great to have a map that ascended between two skyscrapers.

The maps don't have any real vertically and the flow is off. They are just not as good as the first game.

What is up with Legion? He Shreds all other titans in a one on one fight. As tone, I just can't do enough damage to beat someone who knows what they are doing. I drop my barrier, but it is shredded in a second. I try to dodge around, but he has so.much ammo that it doesn't make any difference. Unless I have a salvo ready to go, I turn and run when I see a legion. I just can't do enough damage in the amount if time that legion does.

Anyone else having problems fighting against a decent Legion as a titan?

Yeah I'm to the point where I can play and enjoy multiplayer, but at the very best it's a step sideways for fans of the original. Such weird design decisions, but it can definitely be fun to play.

No, you are spot on. There is a reason nearly every Titan is a legion. They are not balanced at all. Without the shield you basically need biggest Titan to last the longest. The worst thing is that Respawn even know this. They so themselves in the first game.

I can't accurately make comparisons to the first game, as I haven't played it in a while. I can say that I'm loving this one so far for sure. I think they did an amazing job on the SP campaign (not quite finished it yet though), it is fun, superbly paced and brings a lot of cool ideas to the table that I wasn't expecting.

MP is fun too, though I haven't played too many modes yet - Attrition mainly, and some Bounty Hunter. I do agree that not being able to change up weapons for your Titan seems unnecessarily restrictive. It seems like Titans don't last very long either, but I like that so far. In one match of Attrition, I called in and lost 2 Titans, and nearly a third. That kept it interesting and fast-paced imo.

Hi. I can confirm that Nuclear Ejection is just as good as it was in the original.

Yeah. It's works pretty well. I've sucker punched a few enemies Titans with it so far.
