Official Thread Titanfall 2

Day one for me. It's my all time favourite shooter.

I am not even going to go there.

It was a fun game. I certainly enjoyed it and got plenty of play time out of it, but the first game got a pass because it was a start up game. TF2 needs a lot more mechs. It needs a vast amount of weaponry, and deeper, worthwhile customization.

I think they have probably learnt a lot from the complaints about Titanfall's lack of content, the progression and about retaining a player base.

It was interesting to see all the map packs become free for everyone so quickly, I guess that was them trying to keep an active player base going after seeing how map packs split players up based on what they have access to. I wonder how fast the drop off of active players was after people had maxed out and unlocked the small amount of content there was. The game was massively discounted at the end of 2014 across all platforms which was also quite telling.

I wonder about whether they will look at a single player portion of the game. Say what you will about Call of Duty but the content and value they put into those games each year across multiple modes is impressive. I think there is scope for a really great, proper, Titanfall campaign. The radio play that was bolted on to multiplayer and presented as a 'campaign' was laughable in retrospect.

There is no where to go with it. It is my all time favorite. Never once I did prestige in COD but I went all the way with this. I still play it a couple times a month and still enjoy it. Again, never that's happen with me and a shooter before. So TF2 is a day one for me. I also agree with you that it needs deeper customization and more of everything in the sequel. Otherwise it will be a little disappointing.

EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said that a deal has been made with Microsoft to ensure that Respawn Studio’s Titanfall will indeed not be released on PS4, ever. How does something like that happen? Money, and lots of it.

EA CFO Blake Jorgensen says Titanfall will be exclusive for the life of product for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.

That's just for the first game though, not like it's really gonna matter when TF2 is released.

TF2 day one for me. I loved TF, my only qualm was the lack of progressive content, there should have been more Mechs/pilots/gear/weapons added to the game.

Right. That posting was in regard to the subject line of the thread stating TF 1 coming to PS4 maybe. It's not.

I bought a XBO for $500+ with kinect(a device I never plugged in) just to play TF(knowing a lower priced kinectless model was coming  )

It got dull pretty fast but ahh does the series have potential.

Day One

You should have got it on PC then, better performance and MUCH cheaper. You paid $500 for an average shooter haha. It was in steam for like what, $50? lol

Origin it was $60 @ launch and I wanted a XBO just knew it was going to be kinectless/cheaper.
Its not a average shooter it just lacks depth.

There is 5500 on right now so I have trouble believing that.

I'm pretty sure thats per instance. multiply that about the amount of instances and you've got an average. I think they said about 100K wkly which I think is still very good.

They (respawn) must have typed it in the population field to deceive everyone.

I was playing at lunch a week ago and there was 11000. Must be time of day.

Unless I am missing something I can't see anyway there were 45,000 people on

4:30 PM: 5500
9:30 PM: 4400
7:30 AM: 2300

That is a pretty big difference in what you are seeing

do you live in Guam?

Those poor devs...probably will be forced to work 80 hour weeks to meet the deadlines these people are setting.

TF is elite in terms of concept and gameplay, which are two of the toughest and most important things to get right.

Echoing what others have said, just more maps, more mechs, more gameplay modes, and a legit single player.

As much as I thought it was gonna bug me not having a SP portion, it didn't. I thought that they'd have more content for MP not having a SP though. I couldn't care less if TF2 doesn't have a SP portion, as long as the MP gets a lot more content over the life of the game compared to TF.

yeah they nailed the quick twitch combat, maps were great for mechs and pilots.

Agree but they really don't need a single player.

Give me a locked 60FPS and better graphics while further polishing and expanding multiplayer. Single player is not needed.
