Uncharted 4: 60fps "Really f***ing hard!!"

:p read what I was responding to!

I have no idea what it will be. I just thought it would be a funny "if" given talk in the past, and all the resolution BS.

I know, Dno already pointed out that I missed that, I apologize it was my mistake

that is that on PC? If so it's kid of r******d as s*** to compare the consoles to a PC. It's like me comparing my Hyundai Accent to a Ferrari. It's just f***ing pointless and a waste of time. oh no what a shock something that costs me $650 no idea WTF it cost to build a PC not done it in a while to a $400 console. You also got to pay for the BR drive in the console too so that eats into the cost they could have put into the hardware.

Meh I'd be fine with it. Long as the game looks great and runs well that is all I need. s*** played uncharted 2 this week and working on 3 right now and having a great time. This thread made me want to play both again.

That screen shot was from a PC I built with maybe 400 dollars and spare parts laying around my PC junk yard, and that's being generous. There's nothing "ferrari" about the PC I took that shot with. Game was running max setting with SMAAT2X at around 40fps.

The point of my saying was that, ARTWORK, barely looked better if at all that an in game character.

So you built a PC with parts you already own. That must be why it only cost you $400 since you were just upgrading a PC, not buying from scratch.

Now that I think about it, the case and case fans, and the power supply were the only things that came from my junkyard.

Everything else was either from ebay or microcenter.

You can definitely get a good used PC on Ebay so I can understand that. But that's used equipment.

PC talk in another console thread. Someone's jelly, lol. But if Uncharted 4 was on PC it could do 1080p/60fps or better easily! I'd rather play it on a console even if it was 480p.

it would be nice, but those are not in-game, or even in-engine renders, I'd wager. Those are test renders for the materials done in a program (Maya , I believe).

The base Geometry is probably the same, but the rendering is higher level than what the game will do. If the lighting/shadow quality is that good in-game then I'll eat my hat. It does show off dat talent, tho.

You will be surprise what a modern engine can do. I will not be surprise its in engine. Unreal engine is now free, everyone can download it & see some of the stuff people made.

However, like I said many times,

in-engine =/= realtime game play. It doesn't help that many developer using these in-engine screenshot & pass it off as in game, even Witcher 3 is no exception info what I seen.

My belief is that many develpers go over zealous & try to punch out the visuals as high as possible in development ( game runs like snail), then try to optimise it for good fps. Problem is, they also release these visuals as in game shots & hence shot themselves in the foot when they cannot optimise their game to these standard & have to downgrade.

Give it time....

I could have sworn in that they said those shots were rendered in Maya during that conference. I watched the whole thing, but I can't remember with perfect clarity.
