Uncharted 4 Quietly Switched to 30fps?

It may be old news, but I am just now finding out. And now I understand that is why there are no 60fps videos of the PSX Day 15 minute demo. Why??? I'm tired of these hustling tactics where a game studio hypes us up with graphical expectations they have no intention of meeting in the actual release of the product. :(
 
well being as ND never said it was going to be 60FPS in the first place I see it as no big deal. the final game may also run at 60FPS who knows it's still a year away. All they ever said was that was their target.

30 frames per second? What are we expected to do with that? Will the garbage men even allow such a game entrance into their compactors?

I read that, put my five fingertips to my mouth, made that kissing sound while adding mwwaaaa at the end of it, and released my hand in a very dramatic and theatrical fashion. Frozpot just won the internet.
 
How about waiting until the game comes out or is at least near release before bringing this up? Most games this early aren't even a solid 30 fps the way that demo was last week so I think that's a good sign that they have things under control.
 
Umm... it's not finished? It'll be 60 fps when it's finished. What you should be impressed by is that fact that there weren't any major framerate drops in a game that is still quite a bit away from being released.

I really don't see any reason to doubt they will hit that target, considering how well this was holding up.

Was just about to say that.

It seems gamers nowadays do not understand what a target is. A dev says, "60fps is our target," and everybody assumes that is what the final product will be. A dev says, "We are aiming for parity," and people jump straight to one version being dumbed-down.

We live in the age of outrage, everyone wants to be pissed off at something or feel like a victim.
 
Its a target. I highly doubt they will hit it. Sony will want the game to look as best it it could & frame rate will be the likely sacrifice, as the jump from 30 to 60fps required almost double the performance.

Where did anyone say it was going to run @ 30fps when it releases? This is a PRE-alpha gameplay that was shown.

AFAIK, they are still targeting 60 FPS and noone else @ ND has said anything? Unless someone has a link, this thread is based purely on speculation. A lot of people jumped to conclusions in this thread.

You are getting ahead of yourself. This has nothing to do with bashing Sony. This is a problem affecting all games and multiple platforms. Not just frame-rates either.

If they hit 45fps it is still a win. Too many posters have 4k 60fps pcs these days anyway.

Nah, this is piling on Sony because they make the best looking games and that threatens some people here.
