Uncharted 4 Quietly Switched to 30fps?

Where is the debate? Games don't look the same as the cutscenes when you are actually controlling the characters. This is 101.

In-engine =/= realtime! Its not the same, & I am not being nitpicking because it isn't.

I said it like a thousand time. naughty Dog NEVER once mention it was realtime. If anyone can find a post by Naught dog that the footage was realtime (not in-engine), I will rest my case.

Are you not seeing the giant, red, bolded and underlined "real time"?

Yes, I found the 'Real Time' in the article. I edited my post (before you posted this, but you may have missed), you can read it again to see if you agree with what I said. EIther way is fine with me.

Anyway, after thinking a bit, if the developers did mentioned it was realtime (& not some other words that can lead to the author thinking they said it real-time), then yes, its real time. However its hard to know what exactly the developer said. Hmmm.

I never seen this article until now, its interesting. Nevertheless, I do not want to talk about difference between in-engine & realtime all day, or dissect every line by the developers. I come here to relax, not do work. There are now gameplay footages, so the revealed isn't critical anymore, in any case.

Cheers.

Gotcha. I didn't reload my page or something went wrong, didn't see the edit.

I think people are getting too hung up on semantics.

Yes, the E3 footage was running in real-time. But does that mean the game play will look like the E3 footage? I'd most certainly disagree.

Part of the confusion for me personally is how they said the E3 trailer is part of an actual level. Insinuating that its gameplay

Not really confusing. Drake will probably be on that island and you'll see that E3 footage and then as he walks in the woods, it'll switch to gameplay assets.

Not really so much confusion. Just ND being a little vague on what is considered gameplay.

Btw, I think the game looks great.
