Watch Dogs and The Crew delayed to 2014

I guess that gif we saw of him breaking the window on the car and then the window still being there was an indication of where the game was really at. Unfortunate, but I've never been too excited for Watch Dogs anyway. AC4 looks a lot better IMO.

Can someone give me a reco to replace this game since I already paid for it? Thief? AC4? No shooters please.

I am not big on shooters either. Based on your gamer-tag i have to assume X1- how about Ryse or AC4.

Not that big of a deal to me, the Fall is already crowded enough.

I don't even know if I'll be able to finish the GTA 5 before the PS4 and Xbox One launches.

I then have AC4, BF4, COD, Killzone, Planetside 2, and DR3 and Ryse (if they are any good) not to mention Southpark and the new Batman game on current consoles.

If just hope that we get some spacing between Destiny, Titanfall, Thief 4, and now Watch Dogs, because I don't know how I'm going to find time to play them all.

Watch Dogs will be swarmed by next year's better games. That was a bad decision to delay it IMO. They should have optimized it with patches.

It is a new IP. The first impression (when players get their hands on it) needs to be a very good one. If the game turns out better for it and makes an excellent first impression with gamers, then it will sell. Only the release date has changed. It is still an interesting concept and should it deliver on gameplay then all the better.

There are a lot of interesting ideas. Kingdoms of Amalur was a good idea but it got stomped on by Skyrim.

Watch Dogs or Witcher 2 or Infamous 2 or any of the other well-known open-ended games coming out? There is only but so much money out there to buy these games. WD will be shorted IMO..

You say that, but there is a huge difference in genre from the one WD exists in as opposed to the one KoA exists in, one with a considerably smaller and more niche potential audience.

Infamous 2? Not a multiplat. Witcher 2? Not going to compete on a scale of any significance with WD, again with regards to differences in genre. Watch Dogs has considerably larger mass appeal then both of them for such reasons. The game will do just fine, if it is good, especially considering how invested Ubisoft is in each of their franchises.

I don't know if Spring is the best time for Watch Dogs to launch, though. At least on the Sony platform, that's going to put it up against InFamous: Second Son. And isn't Titanfall supposed to be releasing around then as well?

Damn, was looking forward to Watchdogs to test the PS4 ;)...oh well,if it makes it better I guess I can wait,it's not because I wont have anything else to play hehe...

Idk what I'll buy for my PS4 now. Guess if I HAD to choose it would be KZ or AC4

Console optimizations most likely. Or just think, by not doing the silly tablet/smartphone stuff it could've been been ready by Xmas...

One of the first next gen games shown and it gets delayed.

I'm getting sick of Ubi's 11th hour delays.

What a sham. Next gen system launch in about a month and this game is delayed a good half year. By now, games should be done and already being pressed.

In other words, this decision was internal made months ago, but UBI decided to do it now as close to launch as possible to not jolt gamers.

They could have released this info a week or two before launch, but that would be too close as all the PS4 bundle boxes and such would be affected. And games don't get shipped a week before launch. Most stores/distribution centres probably get them and store them for weeks before peeling them out on shelves.

What a sham. Good job UBI! The title that has probably got the most (or among the most) PR and hype and it gets delayed. LOL. The game wasn't on my radar anyway (unless I got it for cheap), but oh well. There's other games out there.

As for Crew, that was a 2014 game anyway. So I guess the delay meand it will be later in 2014 than before.
